“A wonderful Sunday Brunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

On you way out of town, stop for a relaxing, yummy, and budget friendly Sunday brunch here. The Bloody Mary was spicy and flavorful. The crab Benedict was delicious. The portions were huge so, to avoid to-go boxes, you may want to split with someone. All in all, the perfect ending to a lovely weekend in Cape Charles.

“Great Appetizers!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Since we are light eaters, we opted for three appetizers at the Coach House Tavern rather than an entree. The shrimp tempura, the shrimp tacos and the homemade Old Bay chips were all delicious and more than we could finish. The service was excellent considering there were only two wait staff for the entire bar and dining area that had a group of 18 as well as other patrons. Being situated on a golf course, the ambiance was pleasant and the view didn't disappoint.

“Don't pass Cape Charles without trring this place Out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2014

I have a good friend that plays golf here all the time and he has been raving about this place for a couple of years. Yesterday he needed to go over to Cape Charles and buy some feed for the animals on the farm and invited myself and another friend to tag along. Being as it was in the 30's ,raining and blowing 30 knots I went along. He said he was treating us to lunch at Bay Creek. First impression was what an upscale place like this is doing in Cape Charles? The menu was extensive and he recommended the Gumbo which we all had a cup of, and it was outstanding! I have had gumbo in lots of places and this was the best I ever had. I had the Blue Cheese wedge salad (small) and barely finished it and it was great also. My co-dinners had the club sandwich which he couldn't finish and the cheeseburger that my host describes as one of the best he has ever had. So it's worth the 5 minute detour off the main road. And the prices were very reasonable. Great views and a real upscale decor and clientele.

“Untrained waitress but great view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014

So we stopped for lunch and had a great window seat overlooking the practice tees on the golf course. Very nice on a clear day. But the waitress, who was new, couldn't quite pull it all together. Some of the meal arrived long before the other (fish before the chips), some of the order was just confused (I ordered one thing but was brought another). She was pleasant but not very experienced.
The food was ok but the ambiance was very nice. So if you visit Bay Creek, stop here for lunch. The view and ambiance is worth it, the food's not bad nd by now the waitress will know what she's doing.

“Off the Beaten Track”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2013

I was taken to the Coach House Tavern by family who were taking me on a tour of the "Hot Spots" of Cape Charles. The Coach House is part of a golf complex with two championship golf courses. the food and atmosphere was very good. Not much business when we were there as it is off the beaten track a little but it was well worth it.
