“So So, willing to give it a second chance”
Reviewed 21 June 2012

Last week, we tried the new restaurant, The Shanty, over looking the harbor in Cape Charles, VA.
The view is spectacular, especially at sunset. I was served the best restaurant crab cake I have had in many years - lump crab meat with almost no filler and no over powering seasoning. My fiance had fried oysters which the menu had described as being served with some exotic sounding fruity slaw. His oysters were O.K. (ordinary, but expensive fried oysters), but they did not come with slaw as advertized on the menu. When questioned the wait person (who gave fair service - less than average) said they no longer served slaw with the oysters - they were served with mediocre fries. No doubt about it the oyster dinner was very over priced. However, we will go back for the A+ crab cake sandwiches and the view.
