I arrived at this motel at 2145 on 4/4/17 to be told by Raju at the front desk that my reservation was cancelled. I called Booking.com and confirmed in fact my reservation was still ACTIVE AND CONFIRMED! Raju informed me that they were sold out and I was out of luck! Please understand 2 things:
1. I'm an airline pilot and was scheduled to fly 190 people at 0820.
2. The entire DC area was sold out due to Cherry Blossom Festival.

I was literally left out in the cold by this dump and will continue to tell everyone I know about how I was treated!

Thoroughly disgusted and tired after sleeping at the airport!!!!

I stayed on the night on the Election, November 8. I checked in around 10 pm. Front Desk Sam with no name tag on his while, loose shirt. No coffee in the room. The room looks ok, there is some perfume smell. No show time or HBO on the TV listing. Biggest surprise was the bathtub with grey floor. I attached a photo to see it yourself. Furthermore, The bathroom towels looks yellow and one of them with small yellow stain. The place has a lot of construction workers stay over night. They are quiet though. the room has stove, which is good, but house keeping has to make sure all their towels are clean before folding them. If you are coming with family, please chose another hotel. between the dirty bathtub and the towels with stain, This is not safe sepcially with kids around. The hotel advertise for a free breakfast. This is coffee, muffin and oatmeal. all on a small table in front of the front desk. No restaurant there. As the front desk Sam said Grab and Go breakfast. Many of the same area hotels they have nice restaurant with full buffet. like comfort in, Best western, Holiday inn, Hampton Inn and I stayed in all of them. My money with be worth it in those mentioned hotels. If have to stay there, please check the bathroom area specially the bathtub floor and open all towels in the bathroom, look at them see if they are white and clean. this is my advice.

Room tip: check bathroom towels and the bathroom area in general.

What kind of extended stay hotel offers no dishes, cups, plates, silverware or any amenities in the room unless you go to the office? And no one is at the office when you need help. The rooms also smell musty. Yuck! Absolutely awful!!!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay. We are always looking to improve and make our guests stays as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately KAI policy has been in effect for over 2 years and cookware has not been kept in rooms at any Extended stay since this has been implemented. There are reasons this was implemented. Number one reason was health concerns to protect our guests. Dishes left in rooms for long periods of time can potentially pose a threat to ones health if they are not properly sanitized. If you would like to discuss this further you can contact me directly at DUS2@extendedstay.com. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a better stay the next time you're in the area.

My sister and I were looking for a more affordable option that was closer to the airport after our stay at State Plaza Hotel in Washington DC so after much searching, we chose to stay here. It's a basic hotel and I am sure most people choose it for its proximity to he airport.
The rooms are okay, I kind of like the setting, ours was a queens studio room with a kitchenette(microwave, table too and little dining area). The bathroom was okay as well, we were given soaps. The bathtub however, I did not like-looked worn out, it needs to be changed.
The breakfast they provide is basically stuff you can eat on the go- granola bars, coffee and cake. I do love that it's within walking distance to a food court- Wendy's, Macdonald, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Walmart etc so that's a big plus!
Generally it's pretty decent and I'm not sure they need to do more because it's quite affordable and close to the airport.

As long as you recognized that this is not a high-end resort sort of hotel, you will be fine.

However.

The normal issues:

I checked in for a nine night stay. When I arrived at the counter, a sign announced that the clerk was away and would be right back. If immediate assistance was needed, call the number on the provided phone. After twenty minutes, I did so. I was answered after a dozen rings with a rather brusque voice wanting to know why no one was at the counter (my question exactly). I checked in fine after that, although I was advised to return in two hours to pick up any dishes I wanted.

My room was clean enough, although there are several stains, a strange white residue, and large scratches on the walls. The blanket was also stained and had several long black hairs caught in it. No bugs though. I was given dishes but not a pan or the requested toaster. My refrigerator began leaking the last night of my stay and left a puddle on the floor.

The Strange Stuff:

Since there are two of the same hotel on the property, it was difficult for taxis to locate me. My first night of stay I received an unsolicited call from the same room number at the adjacent hotel, and he called me again early the next morning. Another person attempted to get in my room, I can only assume for the same reason. Also had someone attempt to deliver a pizza I did not order. Something needs to be done to differentiate between the two properties for room number purposes.

The wifi is terrible. It cuts out at random, stopped connecting to my phone halfway through my trip, and the speed is too low to watch a youtube video, probably to push you to purchase internet. I did not. I also noticed that every night, more channels appeared to disappear from the already paltry selection on the television. Not gone from the television, just completely blank when landed on. At least two disappeared every day.

If I return to Chantilly, I will likely look for a different hotel.
