Piney Grove is a great B&B. Not that far from Williamsburg, if you want to get away and not stay inside the hubbub of the tourist area. The rooms are in a separate house, down the driveway from the main house. We had one of the large bedrooms in the lower level. The bathroom is in between the two large rooms down there, but they do not rent out the other room unless you are there with another couple and want to share the bathroom or something. So you end up with both rooms and the bathroom to yourself in the lower level. The turndown service includes starting a fire in your room for you in the winter time, a wonderful little stove that keeps you toasty. The beds are comfortable. The B&B is beautifully decorated and clean. The main house is set up like a large cabin, with breakfast served at a huge table so you can visit with the other guests. They also have a tour thing where you go from place to place for dinner and a history lesson. We did not go on this, but at breakfast the next day, it got rave reviews from everyone. We had dinner at a place recommended by the owner called Indian Fields Tavern. One of the best meals I've ever had on vacation. It's a small place with a limited menu, but the chef makes some great meals.
