I am basing my review on my preconcieved notins of what the place would be like. We have been here a week after losing power and I thought it would be miserable. I was wrong. The rooms are newly remodeled and clean. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and dinner, but the food was reasonably-priced and quite acceptable. The staff was fantastic and handled the tri-state demands of folks without power very well. All in all, it's not the Mandarin Oriental or the Ritz, but it saved us in a pinch and was perfectly pleasing.
The pool looked great and was packed with people on the 100-degree days. On a final note: the beer in the hotel bar is as cold as you will have anywhere!More
