The staff were extremely friendly, the prices were reasonable, the location is perfect. We ate the breakfast buffet and had too many choices of hot, delicious foods. Dinner meals were also plentiful and delicious.

“Not bad for a hotel restaurant - great service”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

This is your quintessential hotel restaurant, so keep that in mind. However, that said, we were told at the front desk and when we were seated that the menu was new and featured only locally grown or sourced ingredients. We arrived late, about 9:00, the dining room was empty, there were a few people in the adjacent lounge area. The waiter was outstanding, explained the selections, spoke briefly about the strategy of the new chef.

We ordered 2 appetizers, one a shrimp ensemble, the other a caesar salad. I had a burger (okay, boring), my wife a rockfish "fish and chips". All very good actually. I wish we had a chance to sample more from this new chef.

“Good food, slow service”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Visited this tavern when I stayed at the hotel for a Conference. The food is good, prices reasonable, good drink selection too. However, the service was pretty slow considering that the restaurant was not that crowded.

“Simply phenomenal!”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

After a long week of business travel, since I was staying at the Doubletree I decided to eat at this restaurant since it was in the hotel. I absolutely do not regret this choice as the restaurant was fantastic, and I had one of the best restaurant meals I've had in a very long time.

I ordered the Filet medium well. Usually a restaurant will butterfly the filet ot make sure it is cooked properly. This restaurant did not, yet unbelievably I could practically cut this over 1 inch thick Filet with a fork. It was realy incredible.

The tavern salad was another highlight of the meal. It was various greens with grapes, candied walnuts, bleu cheese chunks, tomatoes and grapes. Best salad ever!

The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. If you are ever in this area do not hesitate to eat here!
