We dropped in on a weekday for a late lunch and ordered an Angus Burger and a Ribeye Steak and Cheese. Was asked about 'fries or chips' and assumed that either one was included. Never assume here. Chose fries for each of us. Choice of beer was a Victory Winter. The place was nearly empty so we figured that service would be quick. Put it this way -- I had to start looking around for our waitress. Beers finally arrived. Food arrived a while later -- warm. Since we were both very hungry, we decided to just eat and leave as soon as possible. The food was good but was borderline acceptable on temperature. The price was much too high. 50.00 for two sandwiches and two beers -- not including the tip!! My large beer was 8.50! My wife's beer was 6.25. Really? The 'non-inclusive' fries were 3.00 each. Sorry folks -- not whining but jeeze! Something better change or we won't be back.

Stopped here for lunch yesterday. There were 4 of us and we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful day. We all had a mug of beer to start and it was fresh and icy cold. My wife and I decided to split the Fried green tomato salad and their black and blue burger. We were blown away. The burger was cooked perfectly, topped with a giant homemade onion ring that was delicious. Our waitress, who's name I have forgotten, unfortunately, was great and made sure the kitchen had split the two orders. So, when she delivered the Fried green tomato salads, I was sure she hadn't heard that we had asked to split, because she placed a giant, beautifully garnished, salad in front of each of us. I didn't think of asking if she hadn't heard us correctly because it looked wonderful and besides, each was only $10, so what the check.
The salad tasted better than it looked. Fresh, wonderful blue cheese chunks and dressing. Chopped red onion and red tomatoes, and the Fried green tomatoes were delicious. As expected, neither of us could finish our salad, so we consolidated and asked for a box and the check. We packed up what would have been one of the salads and I opened the folio to find that we had been served a single salad, split for each and we were only being charged for a single salad. Not only that, but the dish was only $9, not $10! Wow.
So, to recap, icy cold beer; perfectly cooked and delicious Angus beef burger and onion ring; and a gigantic, overwhelming, fantastic delicious Fried Green Tomato salad; and a really professional, pleasant waitress to boot.
If you're looking for a great place for lunch in the pedestrian mall in Charlottesville, head to Millers', you will be happy that you did.

Awesome local pub with above average food, and an excellent beer and whiskey list. Great local beers on tap. Friendly staff. Love this place. We always visit when we're in town.

Walking through Downtown Charlottesville and decided to have lunch at Miller's. They had seating outside, as well as inside in the bar. We had lunch inside the bar area. The lunch was wonderful!

We ate here last night and had a really good meal. I had the fried green tomato salad with a side of chicken and it was delicious. Others in the party had seafood jambalaya which they said was good. Service prompt and personable. Interesting bar and a building with history. Sadly missed the music which was starting as we left. A little pricey but well worth a visit.
