Stayed here for a weekend in March and was pleasently surprised. Nice newer hotel near the HQ for State Farm. Nice outdoor space with a pond and walking paths. Room was spacious and clean and like all Hilton Garden Inns had a small fridge and microwave. It's on the east side of town, but quite close to downtown without all the traffic headaches of Rt. 29.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pond.

We've stayed here many times because of its proximity to the family we're visiting. An emergency came up that required us to stay in Charlottesville an extra three days. When we tried to extend our stay at the hotel we were told that it was sold out through the weekend, but to keep checking in for a cancellation. We did that a few times and were always given the same response: sold out. Then late one night after coming home from the hospital exhausted, we asked the person working the desk that night, Ellen, if there were any openings. She logged into the computer and gave us the usual response...nope. We went in our room and barely a minute later our phone rang. It was Ellen. She had take the time to manually scour all of the reservations and spied that one guest had been double-booked. There was a room available for us. What Ellen did was far beyond what we expected, which is why we are using this space to sing her praises, and those of the hotel.

stay at this Garden Inn for business. thought it was out of the way but it was actually very convenient, especially to the bypass which was helpful due to the marathon that weekend. Great staff. Clean, lovely lobby/sitting areas. Feel like I found a secret hotel to use for future.

Very helpful staff, great services, & accommodating amenities. Decent exercise area with very nice running track around a pond behind the hotel. Nice pool / hot tub. Adequate laundry. Usable printing & office area. Close to the interstate. People learn your name & always greet you. Super, super, super experience!

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway in Charlottesville and have to say the hotel was very nice! The staff was extremely friendly, the room was nice, lobby is breath-taking and having a made to order breakfast was really nice! We visited the bar each of the nights that we returned from our nights out in Charlottesville, weekend of Syracuse vs Virginia big basketball game, and enjoyed the very personable bartender who was very helpful with resturant advice and things to do in the area. Being a Syracuse fan and all the Virginia flags hanging in the lobby I wanted so bad to replace them with Syracuse flags but conceeded espcially when Syracuse lost to Virginia that weekend. This was exactly what we were looking for and my wife's birthday weekend was more than we anticipated! When we visit Charlottesville again we will stay here!
