Very clean hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Welcoming common areas that included TV's to occupy children waiting. Fellow travellers in my party remarked that the gym was clean and although basic, certainly adequate.

I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay with the Hampton Inn Norfolk/Chesapeake. We just completed a full renovation at the hotel so everything is nice and new. The perfect mix lobby was done in March and creates a very homey feel. The fitness center is basic as mentioned, however, it’s got anything you would use for a good workout. We hope you come back and see us again.

This was the worst experience i have had so far. The person at the check in desk for very rude. Our rooms very not ready even though we got there after 3 pm and our second room was not ready till much later.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was warm and seveal items to choose from. The attendant at the front desk let me check in early and was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Overall a good stay. Positives: quick check in; breakfast was well managed and clean; Room was clean and comfortable. Negatives: a little noisy with other residents; appearance of night check-in counter staff was unprofessional. I would stay again for business.

Very clean hotel with an extremely friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Great mattresses. Good selection of breakfast items. Nice outdoor pool. Easy access to interstate and shopping areas. Would recommend for families or business.

This is not a good place to bring kids. The rooms are very small and compact, the breakfast area is VERY small and the line to wait for your turn takes forever due to lack of space. Everything about the hotel is SMALL. BUT.....it is clean, and the staff is polite, so if it is just one person, or two...it would be fine.

Thank you for staying with us and for posting a review. Due to age of our building the rooms are a bit smaller than your newer hotels. The same goes for our breakfast area. However, we just finished a complete renovation of the hotel so everything is brand new and beautiful. Thank you for the kind comments about the staff, they work very hard. The staff of this Hampton Inn are second to none. The kindness, courtesy and helpfulness were wonderful, and quite refreshing. We were made to feel so welcome, and so special. Our travels often take us to Chesapeake. We will be sure to stay at the Hampton Inn again.
