“Great Dining View”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

Very good seafood with a fantastic view. There is both indoor and a screened in porch outdoor dining area. Recommend for a special dining experience-little more expensive than some of the other more casual restaurants, but worth it.

“Not up to Expectations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

The food was excellent, the view the same, nice ambiance, but the service a bit amateurish and could use a bit more attention to detail.
First up was that the table was sticky. Admittedly, it was humid and the tables are wooden; but whatever they were using to clean them wasn't working particularly well.
We ordered calamari for and appetizer and found it to be a bit rubbery, though with a nice breading and a tasty marinara for dipping. There was not a lot of it for the price--maybe 10 or 12 pieces. We both chose the special of two crab cakes plus crab imperial. The imperial was probably the best of its kind that I've eaten. The crab cakes were solid lump crab meat; but a bit on the bland side for my taste. The baked potato I had was OK, but nothing to brag on. My wife's sides however were a bit different than normal side dishes we've seen--pickled beets and a cucumber/onion salad. She raved about them both!
It was, all in all a delicious meal; but just seemed that it could have been done a bit better. It's a decent value and we might visit again on another trip to the island.

“All lump crab cakes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

My husband and I had the lump crab cakes and they were all crab, very good, $22 for 3. You got 2 choices of sides. I had a salad and green beans, very good. My husband had salad and baked potato. There were many interesting apps I would like to have tried, fried greens, fried pickles for example. Maybe next time. Good service. Water view.

“Great Food!”

We had our first dinner on Chincoteague at Etta's and the service and food was super. The views off the deck were wonderful and very relaxing. Great place for wonderful seafood. Try it out!

“Very disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

We thought Etta's was one of the nicer restaurants on the island. We ate at better places while there. Perhaps because there was a 50 person wedding party made them off their game. I don't think that was the problem. The wine list is not extensive but very affordable. The food was ok. The most disappointing was the 2 sides you got with your entree. Our choices: garden salad, pickled beets (like from a can), french fries or baked potato. That's it. There was nothing spectacular about Etta's. We enjoyed the view. That is about it. It came highly recommended. I don't.
