We stopped at a VA Welcome center and I asked the volunteer for a motel recommendation. She said she wasn't allowed to say, but another visitor overheard and told me she highly recommended this hotel. I can see why. Owner showed us several awards they'd won (for cleanliness, etc), Our room had microwave, coffeemaker, and small refrigerator. Continental breakfast served in office. You are treated like family. Loved staying here!

Room Tip: Ask for the Best Price, and perhaps he'll give you a deal.

My husband and I needed a place to just relax, and this was it. There were chairs outside of our room so we could just sit and enjoy the morning with a cup of Ramans good coffee or the evening breeze and just talk. The room was clean and very comfortable, very up to date. My husband has a bad back and usually has a really bad time with motel beds. Not here! We were so comfortable, we overslept! Great water pressure in the shower and you have to see the ceiling to believe it. I don't want to give away any surprises, just turn off the lights and look up. Raman knew all the best restaurants and places to see and made sure that we were always happy and satisfied. We were treated like family! This was our first trip to Chincoteague, but we will definitely be back! And this is where we will stay!

Room Tip: Ask for one with a special ceiling!

My wife and teenage daughter just got back from a 5 night stay. The room and the motel were exactly as advertised. The rate was good, the location was good and the room was comfortable! It is not the Hilton, but the Hilton does not have Raman! We will be back! re"tired"

This is one of the cheapest hotels on Chincoteague, but very adequate. The building itself is old, but the rooms have obviously been updated in the past few years. The rooms are very small, especially with two double beds packed in there. The pool is old but nice. My two-year-old loved it. The location of this place can't be beat. If you don't mind walking about a half mile, you are in the heart of everything. Good value, decent hotel. Not a five star place, but you get what you pay for. Overall we were satisfied.

We stayed one nite on our way to OBX. We were traveling with a dog and this hotel is pet friendly ( with no hidden fees). The hotel was small but perfect for a no frills place. The breakfast is nothing special but there is a great dinner just down the street called Marias.

I was pleasantly surprised to be given a suite despite only reserving a room, though the actual bedroom was far too small even for the queen bed that almost completely filled it (to the point it was barely possible to walk round the bed).

The exterior of the property is quite well maintained, though the interior could definately do with an update. The floor was filthy, making white socks black after walking on the carpet. Despite the extreme heatwave, the air conditioner was NOT on when I got into the room, which was stifiling and uncomfortable for about an hour until the aircon cooled it enough. Given the extreme heat and the fact that I'd booked the room, there was no excuse for this.

Breakfast was good and on balance, for the price and location, this hotel was a decent budget option.

Beware if booking on expedia - their price doesn't include taxes, despite their website stating the opposite.

This is a great place to stay, and the value is nice too. The room was very clean and comfortable, and as one reviewer has already pointed out, "everybody loves Raman." The manager of the hotel is very nice. He goes out of his way to make his guests happy and to help them enjoy their stay. Definitely consider this place!
