I advise anyone and everyone planning a vacation in Chincoteague to not stay at the Days Inn located therein. The service was poor, to say the least. When asked what good places to eat and local attraction, such as the beach, they were clueless and unfriendly. The free wi-fi was astoundingly slow. The breakfast bar was just that, a bar with stale cereal, sickening eggs and waffles that didn't cook wholly. The grounds around the hotel looked hideous, with dead weeds all through the driveway. Also the pool was closed most of the days. Overall an awful experience.

Room Tip: Rooms are extremely small, A/C is loud, and toilets run all night.

Had the opportunity for a spur of the moment weekend getaway and was pleased that a few last minute rooms opened up even though the rate was an outrageous $259/night! We were just happy to be going to the beach. We reserved through Booking.com and contracted to arrive between 5 & 6 pm. At 5:20, as we were just about to pull into the parking lot, the desk clerk called and asked when we were arriving because she couldn't hold the room any longer! I told her we were pulling into the parking lot and she said, " ok, I guess I'll wait for you"!!!!! Really?

The room was far too small to accommodate two queen beds and there were no lamps in the room. We could, however, see where lamps had been. The "vanity" in the bathroom was made out of 2x4's, and there were ants crawling all over the "dresser" with the ancient CRT TV on it. When I told the desk clerk there were no lamps in the room, but there were ants, her reply was " I don't know - I only work at the desk!"
Only stayed one night. Most definitely NOT worth the amount they were charging!

The location to the beach (and waffles) are the only good features to this hotel. There was sand in the bed upon arrival and the toilet ran all night long. Construction materials filled the parking lot and restricted access. The beds were hard and it was cramped in the room. The front desk staff were nice but we will not stay there again.

Our room was a little small but we made good use of the space we had. Staff was very nice all the time, friendly and helpful, always a smile. Breakfast was fairly good. Pool was a little cloudy but they put in some new equipment and had it closed for 1 day. Next day all was fine. New flat screen TV put in also. Beds and bedding was clean.
