Located in the George Washington National Forest, this unique B&B was originally a stagecoach stop in the 1800's.Our hosts, the Yoders, are a very gracious and friendly couple who make your stay very pleasant. We enjoyed the hospitality that was afforded us on our recent weekend stay. We enjoyed conversing with their two young daughters over breakfast Sunday morning. Recommend that you check this out for a nice place to get away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Buckhorn! While we were the only guests during our visit, our friendly hosts went out of their way to greet us at the door and show us around this historic bed and breakfast! This beautiful family made us feel right at home. The dining area and staircase definitely resembled things found in the original building. Our room was not large but extremely cozy and stayed plenty warm even though it was freezing outside. The drive to and from Staunton was picturesque with tall mountain peaks and winding river valleys. We greatly enjoyed the restaurant suggested by our hosts, The Depot, and the homemade breakfast. We would recommend this bed and breakfast!

We stayed at The Buckhorn Inn on the way home from a week's vacation. The history of the Inn is fascinating and I can't say enough about the hospitality of Gaylon and Sylvia Yoder. Gaylon, Sylvia, thanks. Liz and I look forward to staying at your Inn again.

This was our first stay in a B and B and it was lovely. The historic home was warm and comfortable and the friendly owners Sylvia and Gerald made us feel like family. The beautiful location is convenient to downtown Staunton and local wineries. The rooms were clean, comfortable and a good size. Guests have the use of the home. In the morning you eat your breakfast prepared by the host family style in an inviting dining room by a roaring fire. What more could you ask for! We will be returning:)

The Churchville Buckhorn Inn is everything you'd want a bed and breakfast in this area to be- full of character and charm, with nice owners in a quiet location. It's an older property, well-suited to those who value history and basic comforts more than luxury and frills. I stayed there with my boyfriend during a hectic time for the owners- they had just had a baby boy, and were in the middle of some repairs- but we still received excellent care. The ower was happy to talk with us about the history of the place, and personally cooked our breakfasts to order, as much food as we wanted. It's located about a fifteen minute drive from Staunton, where you can do a little shopping and eating, if desired, though we preferred day trips through the beautiful countryside to the Natural Bridge, hiking, and the Hot Springs Mineral Bath (a very rustic experience). No cell phone service for most, but we were happy to get away from it all. But don't fret- they do have a computer for guests to use to check email and look up directions, etc.
