If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the middle of nowhere, this is it. I know nothing about Victorian decorating, but I think anyone who's into that sorta thing would really enjoy the place. The innkeeper has done all of the work herself and things look great. I was especially impressed with all of the little "comforts of home" - the comfy couches in the upstairs library, the highspeed internet access, cozy reading chairs, a breezy hammock, etc. Someone else has posted that the dogs were vicious...they were extremely sweet and begged for belly rubs during my stay. Another guest had a small dog with them during my stay and the dogs interacted fine.
Only downside? There's not much of a dinner scene in Clifton Forge.
