The good thing about this place is the location. There is a pier for motel guests just across the street. A public beach is feet away (although the town beach is quite a hike up the street). It's also quite affordable. The downside is that it's not been updated since the 80s. It's tiny. It's not the cleanest place. It smells of Fabreeze and the floors made my feet dirty. The worst thing is the feeling that I was being scammed. The front desk "lost' my reservation. She offered to give us a room at almost twice the reserved price. When we left, she called us back in and miraculously "found" it. Now, things may have happened just as she said they did, but I felt like I was being scammed because of the helpless way the front desk clerk was acting. She couldn't find my reservation by last name or confirmation number.
Oh, the mattress is hard. It wasn't the greatest night's sleep.
