“Reasonably priced and clean.”
Reviewed 26 December 2013

Booked on Hotwire for $42 per night. Was nervous after reviews, but pleasantly surprised. Property was clean and easily located. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and attractive. Bedspreads were pretty and in good condition as was carpet. Room was clean. Free wi-fi and free breakfast. Laundry on site. Pets accepted. Beds were comfortable though seemed more like a glorified twin that a double or queen size. Did take a bit of time for the room to warm up. Would stay here again. Paid much more at other hotels this trip and the rooms were not as nice or as comfortable.

As We were checking in, someone was cancelling their reservation because they refused to stay here. We should have taken the warning. The rooms are very outdated and only mostly clean.

But, it seems as though people live in this hotel, and these residents are not polite. The residents seem to live at the pool when not in their rooms, making the pool unavailable to guests. And the residents like to sit in the parking lot all hours of the night talking. The ice machine is located in a very rundown and overused laundry room.

We were concerned for the safety of our car all night long. We couldn't wait to leave!

This is the 2nd hotel that I have stayed in Virginia. They must be growing roaches, just for the hotel. Checked in mid-day, we had a great view of the small pool. But the first thing we see when we walk in the room are roaches crawling on the wall. This is an old building that need upgrading and lots of repairs from the front door to the back door. I would not recommend this hotel if you are planning a long stay. The breakfast was good and the front desk person was nice.

Wasn't the best, but you know that going in if its just a cheap place to rest your head when you're on the road. Rooms are definitely very old and used to allow smoking. Also didn't feel very secure with the big glass window and what appeared to be a plywood panel serving as the front wall.

Was clean but needs to be renovated badly. Carpets were stained and had cigarette burns all in it, bathroom had mold all over, and the toilet had ashes and hair all over it. The staff were not friendly but also not rude. Beds were pretty comfortable and clean. Towels were okay, not soft but smelled fresh and clean. Overall not that bad been in worse.

This place is very old needs every upgrade you can think of.
We checked in, went into our room the FIRST think we see are roaches on the wall.
I ask the front desk person for another room. He moved us.
The staff was nice. My daughter love the pool, thou there we bugs flying around that I have never seen before. The continental breakfast was good, try the waffles. Other than that, stay some other place.

Some of the rooms have very nice couches in them - ask for one. The rooms facing the pool and on the top floor are nice. Once, we enjoyed the two-room suite which was only about $20 more a night! The pool is very nice, too. Call the office if you have a problem with the room, they'll have maintenance address it fairly quickly. The first time we stayed there for several days and had plumbing problems. The office reimbursed us well for the trouble. It's not the Hilton but you'll enjoy the value.
