We drove out of Charlottesville on our first night in town to have some of this semi-famous pizza we had heard about. They do take reservations; we made one as a guide book suggested, but there was not a soul there when we arrived at 8pm on a friday night (it was tourist season too!). The have an extensive menu and serve beer. The pizza was very good, different from any that I'd ever had. They use a special spice blend that is mixed in with the cheese. The crust, unfortunatly, is nothing special, otherwise I would be rating it excellent. Skip the salad, it was pretty boring. Overall, it was well worth our drive out to see what the fuss was all about.
