“Comfortable room in Lovely Historic Home”
Reviewed 23 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

My husband and I stayed at Stephen's for two nights during our visit to Culpepper, VA. Stephen welcomed us as we arrived. Our room was spacious, attractive and quiet. Our bed was very comfortable. The parking space provided was safe and off street. Stephen put out a lovely continental breakfast spread every morning with fresh fruit and a variety of other choices. We drank coffee on a quiet patio overlooking a large private yard, complete with fountain and flowers. Coffee and treats were available all day. We would definitely stay at Stephen's again if we should visit Culpepper. I highly recommend this B&B.

“Luxury comfort in a beautiful, authenticly restored original home”
Reviewed 9 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Clean and comfortable luxury in a safe location, reasonably priced.
Stephen is an outstanding host. He truly thinks of everything, and is wonderfully friendly and encouraging, while equally focused on giving guests space and quiet. "Make yourself at home," he said when I arrived, and he is sincere! He has a treasure of a house, and generously shares it.
Pet-friendly! This was a rare trip without dogs for me, but I always look for wonderful places where they are welcome.
I stayed in the king suite (this one shares a hall bathroom with another suite, but there is a king suite with attached bathroom available). The room was spacious, the soft colors and antique furnishing very relaxing. The bed was luxurious and extremely comfortable. The king suite overlooks the lush garden. I enjoyed some morning quite time watching a flock of Robins bathe in the fountain just under the window. House rooms open to visitors include a fully stocked kitchen, formal dining room, living room, reading/sun room overlooking the garden.
The garden is enchanting, with charming hidden nooks to explore and endless natural beauty.
I would definitely recommend this home to travelers and will return if in the area again.
Thank you, Stephen!

“Amazing Stay”
Reviewed 15 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Stephen is an exceptional host! He went out of his way to accommodate us - including letting us drop off our baggage early and sending me a list of wineries is the area. The room was well-appointed with the MOST comfortable bed ever! He ensured that we had a wonderful choice of breakfast options every morning. We look forward to staying at this location again in the near future!
