We had a delightful two night stay at Fountain Hall. The property is immaculately maintained and the grounds are perfect. I was a bit disappointed and surprised by the condition of the towels in our room. The towels themselves were faded and worn, and neither the used towels or wet washcloths were replaced with fresh towels for day two. Considering the attention the owners pay to details in other aspects of the inn, this would be an easy fix. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a delightful stay and would have loved to have stayed longer. Our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The Walker's have a ton of DVD's you can watch, if so inclined, and an abundance of books as well as very comfortable common rooms. Steve knows - it seems - *everything* about the area and can acquaint you with the character of all the restaurants -- which are just a few minutes walk away. After a nice evening and a great rest, we arose to a wonderful breakfast with great croissants and fresh fruit -- among other goodies! We'd love to stay there again!

We spent last night at Fountain Hall and were extremely glad we did. Our room, The Chelf Room, had a very comfortable bed, a private porch and a Jacuzzi bath tub. The freshly made croissants and fresh fruit for breakfast were delicious. Thanks Steve and Kathi Walker for a wonderful respite!

We spent four days in Fountain Hall and it was a lovely experience. The rooms were attractive and the beds super comfortable. The historic ambiance was enhanced by the display of civil war memorabilia found at the house. The breakfasts were delicious with hot, fresh croissants, berries, melons and quiche. Kathi and Steve's knowledge of the local community proved invaluable as we rambled through the local antique shops. famous places and farm stands.

We are looing forward to going back later this year!

Room Tip: The giant bath tub was a particular delight!

Kathy was flexible about our arrival time which was really appreciated. The house is super clean, quiet and well maintained. Could use a touch of update in wallpaper and towels, but over all we were very impressed and it added to our wonderful weekend in Culpepper. Great breakfast, too.

We spent one night at the Fountain Hall and throughly enjoyed our stay. Easy walk to Culpeper's great restaurant scene. We stayed in the Victoria's suite which has an adjoining sitting room. The bathroom was small, but the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and they accommodated my husband's gluten-intolerance.

My husband and I found Fountain Hall and spent the weekend there for our 35th anniversary. The room was beautiful. We stayed in the Chelf Room and even had a small balcony that overlooks the backyard. Nice place for wine and cheese. The hostess was great and pointed us to several places and a weekend harvest event we were not aware of. The entire house is decorated in period style with a very short walk to the restaurants and fun shops of Culpepper.

Room Tip: I think some rooms share bathrooms and this was not for us. Our room had a huge jacuzzi tub!
