If you like bbq this place is for you. They have combo platters big enough to share. Their sausages are wonderful and their pork is great. Their hush puppies come with apple butter and are quite good. Had to take home some as the portions are more than ample.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant. We will not go back. We visited on a very busy Saturday evening. I understand they were busy but it took almost 2 hours to get our food. In this time we were served our drinks but the waitress never came back to check on us or refill them. When our bill came I noticed the time it was put in was well over an hour after we ordered. When we questioned the waitress she tried to tell us it was a computer problem. We saw many people served and the restaurant was clearing out by the time our food finally arrived. The food was decent but definitely not worth the wait. My advice is unless you enjoy exceptionally long waits to skip this place.

Went for dinner. 90* outside and no air conditioning inside.

Had the pork plate. The meat tasted pretty good. It was a tiny portion for being a dinner plate.

The 3 sauces were ok.

Potato salad tasted like it came from a box. Skip the fried okra because it was the same as any other food place. The baked beans were different, a good different.

Fried pickle chips were good as an appetizer.

Of course, everyone has "tastes" and everyone is different so your experience will be different than mine. I'm not saying to not go, because you may find this a 5 star place.

Elder, the owner, runs a really tight ship. Consistently excellent and this coming from someone who never liked BBQ before.
The homemade mac and cheese reminds me of Moms'. I crave it. Great atmosphere for family and friends. Cozy and casual with outdoor covered seating too!

Not impressed. Atmosphere less than expected. Service average. Food quality was a solid 4 of 5. Quantity verses price was disappointing.... paid too much for smaller portions. Was hoping local restaurants would be better than national chains... still looking.
