“Comfortable, Clean and quite.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Two day family trip for sports tournament, located near restaurants and shopping, King (suite), clean room, balcony with door that opened. Bathroom area seemed small, however it was clean and everything worked. Full house both nights, however no problems with noise. Breakfast was OK. Nice experience, would stay here again.

The room was pleasant and the staff was wonderful. At check-in, the clerk asked worriedly whether I had really booked a handicapped room, and when I told her I had, she switched me to another handicapped room farther from the elevator so that my room would be quieter, which it was. The bed was comfortable enough to sleep on without a mattress pad, which is unusual for the Choice chain (I prefer Hampton beds). Breakfast was unusually good for a Comfort Inn, and the breakfast maid actually offered me a tray when she saw I was trying to carry away breakfast for two. I wished we had been staying more than one night.

Came home to find power off and +85 degrees at 10 pm. Ran away to this hotel--no reservation, just walked in. Got a GREAT military discount rate on COOL, clean room. Very comfortable bed, nice shower, and very nice breakfast. Wish they were all as well managed as this one. Desk clerk was very nice and helpful. It's my permanent run away spot when the power goes out!

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side have extra door that open to the parking lot. Most rooms are hall entry only.

We came to Danville for my husband's work. I was initially concerned that the hotel wouldn't be very nice based on recent reviews by others and some recent experiences with the Comfort Inn chain (it's too bad there isn't more consistency across the country). I was pleasantly surprised. We drove in on Easter Sunday after spending time with family in Ohio so it was late - 1am when we arrived. We had called ahead to let them know about our late arrival so there were no issues. In fact, the front desk attendant, Tina, was super nice and even offered a free upgrade to a suite after my husband mentioned that I was with him and would be spending most of my time in the room working online. That is one small negative - the wireless internet wasn't great, but they did have the old network cable set-up available for more seamless service.
I haven't seen the other guest rooms, but I imagine the suite is not actually a great deal larger than a standard room. It does include a small couch, coffee table and desk as well as a large jetted tub, extra sink/vanity outside the bathroom and a little cabinet area with a mini-fridge, microwave and tiny coffee maker. All of which were nice and sufficient for my purposes.
Breakfast was pretty good, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with the standards; rolls, muffins, cold cereal, hot packet oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas...enough selection that most could find something suitable.
Cleaning staff was respectful of our "do not disturb" request and checked with a daily call around noon to be sure we didn't need anything.
Overall a good, clean and comfortable stay.

This hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The balcony was a nice amenity except that it is very small and standing room only, and the door kept coming open even though we thought it was locked. I didn't like that breakfast was only served until 9 am on a Saturday morning. Also, the housekeeping ladies were very loud in the morning when we were trying to get some sleep - since we got in late the night before.

We found this hotel hard to find but worth it. Room was clean, bed was nice. Breakfast was better than most. Front desk friendly and helpful. Bonus, we had a room with a balcony! My only complaint would be that the door did not close tightly. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

First and foremost I stayed there because it was pet friendly. They charge extra by the size of the dog. they practice pet discrimination!!!! I had a retired military service dog that saved my life so he means the world to me. He served his country well and deserves to be taken care of. To bad it wasn't people friendly. The place is old and tired. The rooms have not been upgraded since it was built. No electrical plugs for computers, phones i pads. Just ratty old extension cords with are subject to starting a fire. The view on the hill is great but the people don't know how to treat you. The breakfast is supposed to be until 0900 but they take it up starting from 0850 t0 0855. Just cheap and not good anyway!!! The people at the desk look like they hate working there a smile would break there faces. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The rooms smell!!! the charge for the dog 50 dollars a night after my back was about broke from the sorry bed we changed hotels the cost was a little more but our dog was only charged 40 dollars for the entire stay (2 nights) at a much nicer hotel in Danville. and the hotel was a high 3 star verse this low 2 star hotel. A word to the wise check out any other quality hotel in Danville and get a good night sleep in a comfortable bed. With smiling people and clean nice room with a great bed!!!. Final word avoid this hotel at all cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
