“Relaxed and happy”
Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This property is ideal for 2 people to relax and chill out. The bed is very comfortable and allows for a good nights rest. There is access to a barbecue and lounger chairs in the shared garden where there is sunshine for most of the day into the early evening. The views out over the fields are very nice as well. Look out for the chickens when they roam about they enjoy pecking everywhere.
The welcome pack is always a treat. You have easy access to a variety of places - historical, countryside and even the coast is quite close by.

“Excellent stay in rural france”
Reviewed 15 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Arrived late afternoon to a welcome pack of bread, local eggs, butter, camenbert cheese, milk, tea, sugar and a bottle of wine. Had we not been seasoned self catering travellers we would not have been hungry on the first evening.
The gite was clean, self contained with a comfortable double bed in the upstairs room, gas cooker, fridge and telly. The shower room with toilet were downstairs and the plumbing worked. The location is well situated to visit the Canche valley, Frevant, Auxi le Chateau, Abbeviille and Amiens. Being in rural france, we would advise would be travellers to check opening times of shops supermarkets and restaurants. A great place to stay.

“Lovely rustic French retreat”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Having stayed in France over many years, this was a lovely little Gite. It is well appointed with almost everything you would need .
Nice touch is a welcome box with eggs, cheese, bread & wine.
The English owners send very detailed instructions on how to find the Gite, as it is very rural & about 1hour 45 from Calais.

As it is in a country setting, there did seem a lot of flies around, but fly swat & spray provided.

Only little niggle was the gardeners/ maintenance who
decided to do a lot of noisy work one morning from 8am when we were trying to have a lie in.

“A perfect French home from home!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I really enjoyed my stay in this gite, it's a good size for one or a couple. It has a lot of character and has everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped with a full size cooker, the lounge and bedroom are also well sized and nicely decorated.

The outside space is fab, plenty of space to park and the garden has loungers, table and chairs - I only wish I had the opportunity to enjoy it more, unfortunately it rained all week!
The garden also has chickens!

You are made to feel at home with a very generous welcome pack, inc cheese, bread, wine, eggs, butter and more!

The gite is well situated to sightsee neighbouring villages and towns, I recommend Hesdin on market day.

Take a sat nav!

“Really enjoyable Easter Break”

This is the second time that we have stayed in this Gite and both times we have had splendid service. The Gite was well maintained and a real bonus is the Welcome Pack of cheese, wine, eggs and bread which was most welcome! We shall certainly stay here again. We enjoyed sitting in the sun in the outside area-it felt really private and we were able to make use of the bikes and the BBQ.Thanks to both Keith and Keran who supplied us with some great information as to the local and surrounding areas.

“Great little stopover or base to explore at half the price of a hotel room”

All you need for a stopover going south or north; with kitchen and sitting room it beats a hotel room but has the privacy of an upstairs mezzanine floor bedroom. Not to mention the peacefull setting and great location from which to explore the many attractions and great restaurants in the area. They have some bigger gites on the same site but just as well thought out and private too.
