Owner description: Great wines, fantastic service, knowledgeable owners, educational visit. First stop on any winetasting trip in the northern Shenandoah Valley, VA MUST include the Glen Manor Vineyards. Bag a picnic lunch, purchase a top-quality wine from these folks, and spend an hour or two on the grounds. You will not be disappointed! PS. Stop at the Elements Restaurant in Front Royal for your lunch-to-go. The gourmet food pairs nicely with all of Glen Manor's selections.

We thoroughly enjoyed our intimate experience here on a recent rainy Friday morning. The owner's wife ran the tasting and was thoroughly engaging in describing the wines and potential food pairings (she is a former chef). Her house-made foccacia used as a palate cleanser was to die for. The beautiful tasting room has gorgeous views of the hillside vineyards, and on a nicer day the deck/lawn would be inviting to linger. We found the 4 premium wines to be interesting and very well made - however at $25-50/bottle they are a bit out of our normal price range. But for the modest tasting fee the visit was well worth it for us.

My husband and I visited around noon on a weekday. We received very personalized and attentive service from the wife of the husband-wife team that owns and works the vineyard. She was friendly and personable and gave us lots of history and details about the winery and the wines we tasted. The wines were delicious. We had brought cheese and crackers to eat, so we bought a half-bottle of one of the whites and sat outside amid spectacular Shenandoah scenery. I couldn't stop taking pictures. It is a truly beautiful setting for a winery, and I highly recommend visiting.

This is a wonderful winery. Very small(they don't permit groups larger than 6); but they make great wine. It is well worth the visit. The staff in the tasting room (the winemaker's wife) is extremely knowledgable. And she makes the wonderful bread that is offered between wine tastes.

Beautiful vineyard and grounds. Would go back but....

Felt belittled by staff member doing tasting. Very pretentious and won't be back.

My husband and I visited this winery on July 27, 2013 during a weekend getaway. Upon entering the tasting room, we were immediately greeted warmly and asked is we wished to do a tasting. The owners wife shared with us the history of the winery, as well as a detailed description of each of the 4 wines we tasted. One of the impressive things about this winery is they only use the grapes they grow in their vineyard.

There is seating outside where you can sit and look at the breathtaking views of the vineyard. The downside is they do not offer any food service at all. Not even a simple cheese tray is offered for purchase. We probably would have stayed longer and purchased a bottle of wine to drink there if some food could have been purchased. They do encourage people to bring their own food from home to enjoy there, but as a tourist who was staying in a bed and breakfast, that was not convenient for us to do.

We enjoyed all four wines we tasted, and ended up buying one of each. We recommend visiting this winery.
