Ate here and truly enjoyed the exceptional appetizers. Loved the flatbread combinations so much we ordered two. Christian chose our wine, asked what we generally prefer and even though we have slightly different tastes, his pick was FABULOUS! Great time! Awesome burgers! No complaints! Even the word entertaining (provided by the staff and Christian) could be used and that's what makes this little restaurant in Front Royal so wonderful. Will return when they open their new place, can't wait!

Wow, Vino 124 is as great as reviews here suggest. So great that it has outgrown its small location, according to the very friendly man who greeted us and took our order, and who we took to be the owner. Monday, 5/26, is closing night, and then they will move to a new location in a renovated 60's gas station with the same chef and staff, but with a real kitchen. Apparently, the magic they work at their downtown locatoin is all done with an oven and two hot plates behind the stainless steel counter and privacy curtain. Fortunately for diners, they will keep the famous crab cakes and meatloaf we enjoyed. I hope they will keep the same comfortable vibe, too, which felt welcoming for locals dressed up to celebrate special events and also for day-trippers driving Skyline Drive and hiking nearby trails.

The new restaurant will be called "Pavemint," and they aim to open in August. Odd name, but with great food like this, who cares?

First time visitors, but we will be back! Our appetizer was delicious, as well as our beef dinners. Just for fun we let our wine be chosen for us, after giving hints of what we generally appreciate, and we were very pleased with the recommendation that was brought to us--with no pressure to keep that recommendation, I might add. Next time we may go just for dessert, as we were too full (generous portions!) this time. Great Job, Vino124. I see why you are number one in our town.

We decided to give Vino 124 a try after finding it on Opentable and then researching it here on Tripadvisor... What a great idea we had!

They were moderately busy, about 3/4 full, yet the service was right on time. The menu is small, but that's typical of places that make fresh food daily, based on what's available at the local butcher and from the local growers.

Started with their curry hummus which came with flat bread. The hummus was OUTSTANDING! The bread was more along the lines of a dense naan, but was seasoned so well and pulled apart so nicely... the combo of these two items was quite nice!

For dinner, my wife got the tahini marinated, panko breaded chicken and raved about it! (Still raving about it the next day!). I got the BBQ shrimp and polenta. The home made pickles were delicious! The shrimp was also very tasty with that BBQ sauce and the polenta was one of the most flavorful I've ever had, as it didn't taste like bland corn.

Overall this was a great experience. The owner kept a watchful eye on all the guests and was tending to every need, from topping off water and wine to making small talk.

Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Definitely worth a try!

Excelent food! I tried all the dishes in my party and they were all remarkable! We started with the humus and the salmon mousse, which were excellent!
Then the soup!! The entrees were one better than the others. Veggie lasagna and the sausages were simply spectacular! The desserts were almost reasons to fight among our party! Cristian and Vica were excellent. Great wine pairings! I will definitely come back!
