We stayed here overnight during a recent trip from PA to North Carolina outer banks. The hotel was very nice, clean and staff were very helpful. We booked the trip using Priceline and ended up with a King room for our family of 4, that's the breaks when using priceline. The hotel was almost full and they couldn't switch us to a room with 2 beds but they did give us a roll-away. We ate in the inn, food was great. Overall it was a great value for a nice clean hotel.

Thank you for you review of Wyndham Virginia Crossings. I'm sorry we couldn't accommodate your double bed request but, as you say, not being able to lock in a room type is part of the price you pay for Priceline. The next time you visit you might contact us so we can match the price and provide you Wyndham Rewards status to boot. Thanks for you comments about our restaurant. Chef Ivan Coleman has been receiving rave reviews since we renovated The Tavern and I'll be certain to pass along your accolade. Thanks again and hope to see when next your travels bring you to or through the Richmond area. Safe travels.

This is a nicely laid out and comfortable hotel, next to a golf course. The design of the hotel is, however, optimized for its use as a conference center (as the name indicates). The rooms are very comfortable and the spacious grounds are very well maintained. So why did I rate this only average? The layout and location make this hotel less than optimal for an individual traveler or family looking for a place to stay. There are three buildings, well separated from each other, like on a college campus. One has the rooms, one has the dining facilities and one the reception the desk. This is not convenient for getting things done quickly. The hotel is not within walking distance of nice restaurants or shops (not counting the strip mall one mile away, along a road with no sidewalk), so one is stuck with the offerings within the hotel, which are nice but not great.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We appreciate your comments and agree that ours is a great place for a conference. However, we are also a great place for families or individuals desiring a central location from which to discover the many historical and entertainment attractions of central Virginia. Located at the nexus of all major interstates, we're an hour from Williamsburg (east) and the same to Monticello and Shenandoah National Park (west). And Richmond? Just 15 minutes to downtown. We like to say that we're close to everything and yet a world apart. Thank you again for your business and we do hope you return. Safe travels until then.

TerriLynn (the Wedding Planner) and my Daughter just clicked from the start. The Ballroom could be seperated allowing a wedding on one side. Guests then moved out to the front for drinks and finger food. Pictures were taken, tables moved in and guests returned for a sit down dinner that was served by experts from the Hotel. Room was opened up the the DJ Steve Muller took control. I got to dance w/my grown up little girl to the tune "I loved her first" So much fun for all and TerriLynn Peterson had everything go just right. 32 rooms were rented for the night and my Sisters put on breakfast buffet and bar the next mornig. (again, TerriLynn-good job) Everyone loved their rooms, the views and the beds. What a great location, minutes from 95 and 295. You can walk to the Crossings golf course. I have been in Richmond since 1971 and for the money this place is hard to beat. I will be back.

Room Tip: try to get one overlooking the golf course

Wanted to break up the long drive to the Outer Banks and found a great deal at the Wyndham. We arrived too late to enjoy the property but had a few hours in the morning to explore. We sat outside over looking the golf course in the morning. No crowds, not like Long Island, made me sorry I didn't have my clubs. Our room was very comfortable, I think the bed felt better then the one I have at home. Maybe my rating would go a star in either direction but wasn't there long enough to give a better assessment. My only complaint would be parking, there just is not enough space in the self serve lot for the number of rooms. We parked on the grass where the front desk told us to park, there were tow away zone signs in the area but the car was still there in the morning. I will try to stop there again to break up the OBX trip but will try to arrive earlier to enjoy the facilities.

Thank you for your review. We're finding that more and more guests are discovering Wyndham Virginia Crossings is a very comfortable and convenient place to make a long trip more enjoyable. The bed you referenced has been receiving rave reviews since our recent renovation (its so comfortable that I bought one for myself). By the way, we are working on adding a few more parking spaces but fortunately we have plenty of grass for overflow (over 20 acres and much of it beautifully manicured). Have a great time at the Outer Banks. We're looking forward to seeing again on your return trip. Safe travels.

NIce hotel. The pool is average. could of been a little cleaner. leaves and things floating in it.
The Yellow Tavern was a good meal. $15-$22 entrees. Drinks average $9
There are cool tunnels that connect the building with art work from all over the US. That was nice.
There were ants in our room and the toilet didnt work on checkout day so those were downers.
The beds are comfortable. The staff at the front desk were nice as well.

Room Tip: ask for something with a view. If you have a pet, dont take room 103 the window is So high you cant...

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We appreciate your comments and will address your concerns immediately. As you know, the undergound passageways connect our three colonial style buildings and are great during inclimate weather. To make it more entertaining, we've created a Walk Across America featuring a photographic journey that takes guests from the windswept shores of the Outer Banks to the sun drenched beaches of Hawaii - with music by Aaron Copland. We do hope you visit again. Safe travels until you do.
