This is a very popular old-school ice cream shop that we've visited for many years while traveling with the family. There's nothing better on a scorching VA summer day than ducking in here and grabbing banana splits or hot fudge sundaes. The place is usually busy on a hot weekend day, but the lines move pretty quickly. Cleanliness is good, as judged by the tables not being sticky and the restrooms reasonably clean. Service is quick, with some employees apparently having worked here a long time. Pleasant service. A truly mixed clientele. It's a little slice of rural America.
