The beach was covered in snow the day we visited. Seemed kind of an oxymoron. But,the area seemed nice & well maintained. I would like to visit again.

I sometimes meet friends for walking here at Buckroe as it is a central location for all of us. You can walk on the sidewalk or the Beach and dogs are welcome during the winter!. We go during the week and it's never crowded. I've also walked here solo and felt safe. It's a clean beach and free parking is always a plus!

Grew up in the Buckroe area, so was shocked when we went back 25 years later to see how it has changed. Some areas looked a tad run down, but my Aunts house on the beach was still there. The amusement park is long gone, but Buckroe still has a lot to offer. Pleasant afternoon.

This is a small quiet beach away from the tourist spots. The sand was brilliantly light in color such that it was almost white. There were so few people at there and the sand was so well groomed that it almost seemed like it was our own private beach. Of course, there were no issues finding parking. I also liked that there were well maintained restrooms and showers.

We have visited this beach twice now, both times in the off-season. It is a great hidden-gem! Beautiful, clean park area with street lights, restrooms and pavilions. The beach is also very clean and a great place to go for a walk. It's only a 30 minute trip or so from Williamsburg.
