“Small Museum and Interesting”

The museum has a very reasonable entrance fee, and you learn alot about Hampton. The upstairs has a rotating show, so there is reason to return.

“Nice place to visit.”
Reviewed 4 January 2013

I think the Hampton Hisory Museum has alot to offer about Hamptons history. It also has a membership that will offer there members much more than the museum. They have lectures and talks from local and other historians and many other groups that is included in the yearly fee. Which is very cheep. The visitors center inside is very helpful to anyone going to travel or looking for a place to go or just wanting something new. Great Place to visit.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed 1 December 2012

Unplanned visit to small museum was a very pleasant surprise. We received personal attention from the museum staff and learned a great deal about the Hampton Roads area that we did not know prior to the visit. The museum is kept in great condition. The displays were pleasant to look at and very informative. Great stop for a quick history lesson on Hampton and surrounding area.

“A place to see”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

Love this museum and very proud of my home town. Artifacts are from the area and stories are explained very well on the displays. Excited to see past history of Indians, settlements and current history of Hampton High School. Will donate items to that section. Special displays upstairs rotate and bring back memories.
