Langford and Joyce are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We have traveled all over the world and this was the best experience I have ever had. Joyce's cooking is to die for and Langford's knowledge as concierge is extraordinary. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Magnolia House to all of our friends and family. Thanks Joyce and Langford for all your help in creating a wonderful birthday surprise get away weekend for Betty.

From the time that my wife and I walked into the Magnolia House, we were greeted with such care and hospitality. Joyce and Lankford made sure that our stay for our anniversary was wonderful! They provided us with champagne, freshly baked desserts, and provided us with one of the best breakfasts you could have ever wanted. The HUGE homemade blueberry muffins, potato and egg frittata, homemade turkey sausage created by Ms. Joyce was spectacular. Make sure that you make this a place to stop while in Hampton, VA. My wife and I will make this a special stop for another "staycation" in the very near future. Thank you Joyce and Lankford for making our stay a memorable one.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this heavenly Bed and Breakfast after marrying in Wisconsin. From the minute we walked in, we were treated like royalty. Every need, desire, or question was readily attended to by Miss Joy. And what a beautiful name for a gracious hostess. She radiates joy every minute of the day. The victorian decor intertwined with the African-American art is stellar. Our accommodations were extremely comfortable. The aromatic candles and hand-picked music at breakfast every day made our stay very memorable. The location allows for day trips in any direction to see the history of the area as well as our nation's beginnings. We are already talking about when we will go back to stay again. I would strongly suggest any one in the world to consider a trip to the Magnolia House Inn. You will be glad you did.

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are delightful. Each has it's own unique decor but all are extremely comfortable.

This gem in Hampton,VA helped to make our staycation weekend to celebrate my boyfriends's birthday absolute perfection! Its situated conveniently near all of Hampton's most notable attractions and several wonderful restaurants are within walking distance to the B&B.
The innkeepers Lankford and Joyce were so accommodating and allowed us to want for nothing during our entire stay. We stayed two nights in the Ellington Suite and found it to be immuculately maintained and exceeded every one of our expectations.
Joyce, the chef, whips up the most wonderful breakfasts! Her croissant french toast were absolutely heavenly and her homemade turkey sausage was equally delicious! Her extra effort to satisfy our pork and red meat restrictions were greatly appreciated and did not go unnoticed.
In conclusion, this is the only place to stay when planning a trip to Hampton! You will not leave disappointed.

Kindly,
Saud Muhammad and Maria Hawkins

Room Tip: If possible, choose the Ellington Suite.

We stayed for 2 nights at this sweet, historic B&B in May, 2014. The hosts were gracious and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and lovely. The location was perfect for driving to bayside restaurants, or for touring Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, and Yorktown.

Room Tip: The house is large and sits back from the main road in a very quiet section of town. Our room faced...

My fiance' and I traveled from Indiana to elope at The Magnolia House. We could not have chosen a more perfect home to begin our new life. From the beauty of it's namesake trees to classic architecture, the elegant decor, scented candles and classic jazz music being played, the Magnolia House is a delight for all the senses. The passion Miss Joyce and Langford have for their guests is unparalleled. Miss Joyce is a Renaissance woman, indeed, having a talent for anything she sets her mind to. Wonderful host, amazing cook, wise counselor for wedding plans and top rate concierge to all the nearby places to visit. However, In the midst of all our planning, we forgot to get a wedding cake.

On the day of or wedding, there was Miss Joyce in the dining area, frosting and DECORATING a homemade (not store-bought) cake! We we speechless. After our wedding came recommendations for photos at nearby historical Fort Monroe, with Miss Joyce guiding us to the best spots to take pictures.

Miss Joyce does more than just share her home with you, she makes you family. We truly felt blessed with all the attention and truly hated leaving. This was our first B&B experience and I must say that the bar has been set very high by Miss Joyce, Vera, Langford and the Magnolia House.
