We were attending a quilt show at the Hampton Convention Center and wanted an alternative to the typical hotel chain. I found Magnolia House Inn online and booked our stay. It was only a short drive from the convention center. Magnolia House is on a quiet street. From the moment we were welcomed inside by the owners, Joyce and Lankford Blair, our stay was just so relaxing. They have lovingly restored this turn of the century house into its original splendor. The decorations are just perfect. So warm and inviting. Our room was spacious, the bed comfy, the amenities just right (robe and slippers included). They thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. I loved the croissant french toast. They had a guest pantry on the first floor where we could get tea, coffee and other beverages at night. And Joyce made the best chocolate chip cookies for a late night snack. The Blairs were gracious hosts who made our stay in Hampton just perfect.
