Casual bistro. Walked in and was greeted with "welcome, sit anywhere". The environment is casual, clean and welcoming.
Decor is good enough for casual to business casual events. Would be a good place for a holiday party with a 3 person band.
Above average selection of beers and wines.
I had a La Fin Du Monde - a french golden ale with a strong body without bitterness.
Food offered by the piece (tapas style).
For dinner i started with the caramelized Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were roasted with onions, shallots and olive oil. Good flavor. The shallots and onion's sweet flavors complimented the smoke taste of grilled-halved sprouts.
The second offering were butternut squash fries (breaded and deep fried). Fries came layered in pepper and chives. The plate also had mayonnaise and a puree of tomato and chives sauce. The puree and butternut went well together, but recommend reducing the salt in the puree. In combination with the fries it is a little salty.
The final course were braised scallops with bacon and a cream sauce. The scallops were flash grilled in bacon creating a deep bronze color in the searing. The center of the scallop was well balanced in heat and texture. Combined the taste is well balanced with flavors from the scallop and bacon. The sauce does a nice job of blending the flavors.
Customer response test. Dropped my silver. Without asking the restaurant lead immediately picked up a new set and napkin.
Bathrooms are clean and up to date.
Overall a good place to enjoy food, drink and friends
