3 story hotel, not fany at all; very unknowladgebale staff. No elevators - makes it hard for handicap folks to get to 3rd floor room. No insulation from sound - very busy intersection. Continental breakfast was coffee, juice and pre-packaged sweets.

After making a reservation on the internet the night before our stay for two nights and paying for it with a credit card, I called the hotel directly to let them know I would be arriving between 10 pm and 12 am. On the night of our stay, I arrived around 10 pm to find our reservation had been cancelled. The clerk called the reservation desk to find out who and why it had been cancelled and then told me that it had been cancelled at the reservation center but there was no way to tell who or why. Fortunately, he had one room remaining.

When I make a reservation, I do so because I do not want to spend hours trying to find a reasonably priced hotel room. So after arriving home, I called the reservation center and learned the hotel staff cancelled the reservation approximately an hour after I called to let them know I would be late. They even had taken the time to record in the reservation that I would be late.

The reservation desk referred me to their customer service line and indicated they would open a case and investigate the cause and let me know if I could be confident that Super 8 would never cancel a reservation again in the future. I guess he has never called customer service before. I learned that I have to talk to the property manager about why the reservation was cancelled. This is the same people that lied to me before.

This place is a joke and the money saved by staying their was easily lost in spending time trying to ensure it would never happen again. I only know of one other way of ensuring Super 8 will never do this to me again. And that is to trust my reservations with somebody else.

I also have to say the condition of this particular hotel was not great. I heard people walking / pounding the floor above us all night. I had never experienced that in a hotel before. The place also had an odor that reminded me of dirty socks.

I stayed with my wife and 2 kids in Dec,2005. The price was affordable and got a non smoking room. It had no bad smell, room furniture was in good shape with, tv channels up to the mark and front desk staff was polite too. Every rooms were interior with security locks/key card locks at both the ends, so that if someone is not having the keys, they cannot enter the building and security cameras were their all around the building. Breakfast was good, but they should have increase the time till 10am instead of 9.30am. Rest all was fine and would recommend to stay at this motel.

This was the worst hotel and worst experience I have ever had anywhere I've stayed. We had a reservation for 2 nights and actually ended up only staying 1 because the hotel was so bad. We left late Sunday night and arrived home at 4am Monday to avoid staying in this hotel any longer than we had to.

Reasons for leaving...

1. Hair in tub before we ever used it.

2. Tile in bathroom not attached to floor and moved when you walked on it.

3. Bathroom door very difficult to close.

4. We had a non-smoking room which reaked of smoke and the rest of the hotel was unbearably smoking. This was compounded by the fact that I recently quit smoking and the smell now makes me nauseous.

5. Could hear other guests TVs late at night.

6. Traffic and truck noise was extremely loud. On the first night, between 9:30pm and 2:30am there wasn't a 10 minute stretch without some noise keeping me from getting to sleep.

7. Stomping & Door slamming.

8. We would hear the people above us.

9. The entire place seemed dirty.

10. There was no outside security. You could see where it should be, but it wasn't there.

11. The bed was lumpy and the blankets were scratchy.

12. I couldn't find a soda machine anywhere. When we got back to our room about 10pm on the 2nd day our keycard wouldn't work.

I read 2 negative reviews on travelocity before going, but ignored them because I figured people were just being picky. Now I understand and can wholeheartedly recommend that no one stay in this hotel.
