We picked this hotel due to a previous stay in Baltimore (going up the coast). The hotel was clean, staff very friendly (smiles and hellos) and breakfast buffet very satisfying.

Stayed one night and they went out of their way to switch our rooms when a vibration in an hvac unit made it a bit noisy. Several other things showed us that they care about the customer. That means a lot to us. We will seek out a Fairfield inn and suites in the future.

The best I could come up for this hotel is fair. The room size is reminiscent of Manhattan properties. I guess demand explains how this place was more expensive than a four star Marriott convention hotel in Alexandria, VA the day before. Where to start? The 'free' Internet ran at the blazing speed of 0.10 MBPS downloading and 0.37 MBPS uploading. The people that built this building were so cheap that they did not install a hot water circulating pump. The best way to get hot water to a room at the end of the hall is to run the tub for a few minutes. It can take a lot of time to get hot water from the flow restricted sink. The wall thermostats have been disconnected. The compressor on the wall HVAC rattles when the unit is running. How could things like these be missed? At least the bedding is very good and the place is reasonably quiet when the HVAC is not running. The quality of the breakfast is fair. The artificial eggs were disgusting and the fruit was on the verge of going bad. It looked awful. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and neat. It would be extremely difficult to find without a GPS. We are familiar with the area and we still had a hard time finding the place.

Simply a great place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru the Harrisonburg,VA area.
The rooms were large and very clean. The hotel staff from desk clerk to breakfast staff were very helpful. This is a excellent place to stay, I will return when in the area again.
Have stayed in this hotel and many others in Harrisonburg when visiting JMU. It is close to the school as well as many restaurants and shops. It is not in the old part of the town, which is on the west side of I-81 but is not a far drive (it is on the east side of I-81). As an aside, I-81 runs through the center of JMU. This hotel is very clean, the staff are always willing to help you, the beds are comfy, and the free breakfast is very nice. This is my favorite hotel in Harrisonburg, and I will definitely return!
Located close to JMU campus. Employees were friendly at check-in & the room was ready. Room was spacious & clean. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and there were a variety of options. The dining area is spacious. Will stay here again. Restaurants located nearby (short car drive).
