We traveled for one month in June across the United-States. Almost every night we stayed in a different hotel & B&B. I can safely say we can be good judges of the quality of the service, sleep and accommodation.
This hotel is very well kept. The employees are especially friendly and helpful. The hotel offers nice, big, clean renovated rooms with a balcony. A nice touch is the two large chairs where you can watch TV. There is also a large pool to relax. You do have access to the internet but the signal is not stable and we kept getting cut off. The buffet at the restaurant is actually quite good and not expensive. You feel a little as if you are eating at your grand-ma’s place and having homemade food. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the center of the city so you cannot walk there and you definitely need transportation. The only minor thing they could work on would be to change the toiletry products: They really do smell bad! Good value for the price.

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor while searching for a pet-friendly hotel in Harrisonburg. Our room was great, very large with a balcony and a whirlpool tub. We ordered food from the restaurant and it was very good. The grounds are wonderful for walking the dog, lots of fields. There is a swimming pool and a playground for kids. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our only issue was the road, it is a very busy road and our room was right on it. The a/c helped drown out the road noise, but it still affected my sleep. Unfortunately, the road is the only thing the owner cannot change. If I stayed again I would try to get a room at the back of the property.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back of the facility and perhaps you will not hear the road.

We think this is our 5th visit here. We go out of our way to stay here,

We are in a small corner room so well sound-proofed that we didn't hear the thunderstorm that just passed through, The bed is very comfortable. The wi-fi connection works great, The room has a flat screen TV. Each room is like a little bitty cottage. Some rooms have decks. There is a large sink vanity with plenty of room for toiletries, There are two very comfortable upholstered chairs and a desk with a high backed office chair. You park right in front of your room.

The swimming pool is wonderful. It has big broad steps. It is located in a lovely meadow with very nice landscaping. There is a very nice playground next to the pool. There is a hot tub next to the pool.

The food here, is excellent.

It is an absolute pleasure to find this gem. Unfortunately our stay was for only one night but, we will be back. The room, with two queen beds, was large, clean, well furnished and in encellent condition. Parking in front of the door, I love down-and-outs.

The staff was outstanding. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was excellent.

Don't hesitate - this place is a winner. This family owned motel has been serving the public since the thirties - and the experience shows.

Room Tip: I used Priceline to book and saved about 25% off the room rate.

We decided to stay here based on Tripadvisor reviews & I have to say that we are glad we did. I was a bit nervous since we usually stay in chain hotels. We stayed in a room with one queen bed, deck & whirlpool tub. The room was a bit smaller than I expected, but it was perfect for us. We really enjoyed being able to sit outside in the evening on the deck. The room was very clean (I was somewhat worried about any animal smells since they allow them), but there was no trace of that, the bed was very comfortable & the whirlpool tub was nice too (it is a single person tub). It was very easy access to I-81 & downtown Harrisonburg, also close to many restaurants. The staff is great! We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area & I would recommend to anyone.
