“the birds made up for few blooms”

March 12th is early for spring flowers but there were snowdrops, crocuses, christmas roses, and a few other flowers open with daffodils almost ready to bloom. It mattered not for we were treated to enjoying many birds in the trees and on bird table set by seating and clear pond. Good paths, restrooms, and free admission make this garden worth a trip.

The flowers in the spring here are always beautiful. It is a great place to walk and enjoy the first warmth of spring. All the other seasons are good here, too, but spring is the best. You can feed the fish from the bridge. Very relaxing.

Our son went to college at James Madison University. Great college town...we enjoyed the Greek restaurant downtown (don't remember name). There's the older side of town, and then of course the newer stores and restaurants on the newer side of campus. He graduated from his graduate school in 2007 so haven't spent much time there since then...but would definitely recommend anyone looking for a great school experience to check out this college.

If you have the time this Arboretum is well worth your time. I've spent personal time as well as attended weddings there. Alone time with my camera was pretty special, too.

Beautifully landscaped with a wide variety of flowering plants, shrubs, trees and herbs. Great place to take a walk, a jog or just eat lunch.
