This museum is of the fire department's history in Harrisonburg. As visitors from out of state it was just as interesting as any fire museum near our home would be. It showed the different uniforms used, different fire equipment, radios and all things fire department. the kids can put on fire gear and take a picture. The museum is located in the public safety building so the city employees give you a quick orientation and you can go look around. Before you leave, the workers gave each child a bag with a fire hat, pencil, coloring book and other fire related activities and gave mom and dad a bag including a smoke detector battery among other things. It was a nice way to spend about an hour with kids.
