“Nate's Trick Dog Cafe is Fabulous Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

My wife, adult son, adult daughter and myself had dinner here on Saturday June 28. From begining to end it was a fabulous experience. The appetizers and entrees (especially the crab cakes) were all very fresh and tasty. The wine list is varied with a range of prices. Our server, Jum, was very helpful in making recommendations. The atmpsphere is engaging and thouh busy still user friendly. We recommend this restaurant with the highest marks.

“Still very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

Visited Trick Dog 2 years ago and had a wonderful meal. Decided to return on our latest trip to the Bay and it did not disappoint. Our table raved about the soft shell crabs. Service has always been very good here. We love the atmosphere and it is the only night we dress up when in the area.

“enjoyed”

We went on a Thursday evening. My husband had the rib-eye and it was outstanding. We stayed at the Hope & Glory Inn - they made the reservations and we could walk to the restaurant.

“better than average food, average service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

some of our disappointment may come from the rave reviews this restaurant has received. nothing was bad, it just wasn't great. and the service was surprisingly slow since we got there before the rush.

“Out of strip steak at 6 pm on a Saturday Night, really?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

As a local resident, Trick Dog has always been a favorite dining experience over the years. Had not been there for two years and while staying at the Tides Inn, we opted for our Saturday night meal to be at the Trick Dog. It was a birthday celebration for our small party of 2 couples. Lovely waitress, very sweet. To our disappointment, 3 of us ordered strip steak and the waitress came back and said sorry our strip steaks are still frozen. The filet is $10.00 more and they offered us ribeye. None of us like ribeye, so we asked for a substitution...a long shot, but you have to ask. Anyway, after having the filet the previous night at the Tides Inn, there just wasn't any comparison to what the Trick Dog offered, the filet was a disappointment. I ordered the soft shell and left most of it on the plate, I couldn't get over the broccoli slaw stuff that it was covered in. Love the atmosphere and the wait staff, think we will wait another two years to try again or just stick with the Tides Inn.
