“Local Attraction - Down Home Style”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

We found this to be an excellent value for the money. The food was good home style cooking, with great fried chicken. The place lacks much in the way of decor, but if you want a fine family meal at a very reasonable price this is worth the stop.

“Favorite for locals”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

I grew up eating at this place. I've since moved away many years ago but usually make it a point when I'm in town to go back for lunch or dinner. My favorite is the fried shrimp and the homemade rolls. Generally an older crowd (like in their 70's and up). The service is pretty slow as everything is made to order. They close pretty early as does everything in Kilmarnock--worth checking out if you're in the area.

“Reliable Local Restaurant”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

Lee's is a place for the locals to hang out and enjoy good food, good service, with a bit of a dated atmosphere. It's easy to find something you'll recognize on the menu as a regular diner-style selection at a great value for your money compared to other dining options in town. Waitresses are very nice and friendly. Depending on how busy they are, the service can be a little bit slow. If you're aiming for breakfast on a weekend, get there when they open. Parking is a challenge since it's on the street in front or back behind the building or on a side street. It's right on the Main Street so if you're already parked and haven't explored the nearby shops, it's worth the casual stroll and won't take long since it's quite a small town.

“Really a local hangout”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

Lots of devotees! the doors open early and the people come out just as early. The food is family style, not out of sight, but plain, home cooking and the chicken and pipes take the starring role.

“Great family owned Restaurant”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

This restaurant is family owned for more than 70 years. We grew up in this town and Lee's Restaurant has always been there with great food and service. the prices are great and food is great. they have the best fryed chicken ever. Most of their food is homemade and they do their own pies. You can set down and enjoy your meal or take it home. They are open for breakfast, lunch and supper.
