Stayed here since it is the only place between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. Owners were very nice and welcoming. Check in was a breeze. Parking is directly in front of the room which was nice. The room was not fancy but very clean and smelled nice considering it was a smoking room. If you are not looking to spend a lot and don't care if you have all the amenities of a chain hotel then the Village Inn is the place for you.

Loved our 2 nights here - not a fancy pricey place - very inexpensive but clean, quiet, and a hairdryer from the office. Art mural painted on to the wall of the bedroom was a nice touch. Friendly local owners. Not much to do in Lovingston, but be sure to eat at the Lovingston Cafe - good food, family owned. A great way to leave your dollars locally, not with huge mega chains.

Room Tip: We stayed in the back section off of the highway and it was very quiet.

Our room didn't have a refrigerator or microwave but they do have rooms available with them. So if you want one I would recommend you request it when you make your reservations. Also there are not any hairdryers or coffee makers in the room but they do have coffee in the office. It is VERY CLEAN and smells fresh. Not like many of those places that have a musty oder. Looks like it was newly renovated. Very pleasant atmosphere. Very reasonably priced.

We were passing through Lovingston and needed a nice, comfortable place to stay for the night. We got a great deal online. I read other reviews and they were right. Although the rooms are dated (I liked the murals) the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. The front desk was helpful with finding somewhere for dinner. Actually there is a shopping center just up the street that has a grocery store, gas station and restaurants/fast food. My only complaint would be that my shower got cold.

The Village Inn is a no-frills motel located in between two scenic vistas. Everything is extremely clean, and staff is friendly and helpful. The room is pretty dated as far as decor, but it's quaint and cozy. The bed is really firm, but the mattress was covered and clean. We slept soundly, as we couldn't hear anyone in the adjacent rooms. The room was also fresh and smelled clean. There is no coffee maker, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner in the room. However, a Dollar Tree and a Food Lion, plus a few other small stores, are literally two minutes away. The motel is close to two breweries, numerous vineyards/wineries, and about 40 minutes from Charlottesville. We will certainly be staying again.

If you're looking for an inexpensive, BUT CLEAN place to lay your head down at night, then you can't go wrong here ! Sam (owner) is so nice, spotless rooms, and great value! The picture is deceiving, it's actually a quaint, little, well taken care of motel with around 30 rooms. Sam's wife cleans the rooms, so you can be sure they are well taken care of. He even dropped the rate for me since I checked in late (10 pm) and was by myself, thanks Sam !

We have stayed at The Village Inn multiple times over the past 3 years. The owners are so nice and accommodating. You will not find cleaner rooms anywhere, not even large, chain hotels. If you want a clean, quiet room, this is your place. While there aren't fancy amenities, you will be comfortable. )If you want a delicious meal during your stay, go to Vitos. It's about a minute drive from The Village Inn and so worth it!)
