The food was about the best we've ever had. Homemade hummus and the Keer were outstanding. Friendly, gracious owner/chef. Next time we're in Lynchburg we're going to get there in time for the lunch buffet so we can sample more of the delicious cuisine! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Nice little hidden Indian/mediteranean restaurant. On 9th st and Main (1/2 block above Main) in Lynchburg. They have a daily buffet that is only 7.99. It might be a buck higher on Saturday. All fresh foods, you can chat with the owner as you eat. Very good indian options, also mediterranean hummus and pita, great value and high quality. very friendly people.

We had an excellent late lunch at Hot and Cold Cafe on a Tuesday afternoon. The owner was very charming and helpful. We started off with his homemade hummus which was great. I had a spinach/lamb dish that was wonderful. My wife got the black and white wrap also great. The baklava was yummy, but we had to take it back to our bed and breakfast for later. Don't miss this downtown restaurant.

So small, so personable, and so good. Don't let the sort of odd side street off main street tiny urban location fool you. If you want excellent Indian food (some Lebanese offered too) go and enjoy a meal, and if he isn't too busy, some conversation with the owner/chef. I have been to Greece, and truly, his baklava (made with lots of butter) is significantly wonderful! Delicate and tender phyllo pastry that melts in your mouth. (You can walk up and down Monument Terrace steps later to work the calories off and get a good view of the James River and, at night, the city lights.) We had baklava with the walnuts but he has some with chocolate and pistachio too.

We had a great experience in this small med/Indian restaraunt. Most everything is made from scratch. We had a mango lassie which was very good and came in a very large glass. We had the hummus for an appetizer and curry for the entre. The baklava and mango pudding where excellent.
