My daughter and I have been here several times, and will go back for various of their programs in the future. We both like dinosaurs, and the museum has a surprisingly good display of them, as well as other prehistoric life. (Look for the life-sized Ground Sloth just inside the entrance) The staff always is friendly and helpful, and my nine year old loves the Dino Maze with it's various interactive stations, The animatronic Triceratops is also pretty interesting. There is also a hall of what appears to have been someone's vast collection of African hunting trophies that were donated to the museum, which provide a fascinating display of the diversity of sizes and types of antelopes and other plains animals. It has a nice gift shop, with a limeted selection of books for adults on Virginia's Natural History. It's a nice way to spend an hour or so if you're in the area of Martinsville and aren't in the mood for the Speedway.
