“Nice Place with TRASH and Few Employees”

Masanutten is a world class resort that has lots going for it but management seems to be working at a higher level than their capabilities. Employees at such areas as the ice cream stand in the middle of several family attractions work ten hour shifts alone and close the stand in the middle of the afternoon for their "lunch."
That was a minor annoyance. The biggest problem was the trash. Woodstone at Masanutten is an RCI Gold Crown property but not in my book. The trash for the 20 or so units around the two occupied by my family was constantly overflowing the allotted receptacles. Calls to the front office were often forwarded to unanswered maintenance phones or "It's very busy this week" excuse was used. Not acceptable to find a pile of trash ten feet from your door that has been scattered around by raccoons.

“Another Great Vacation at Massanutten Woodstone Meadows”

Great accommodations. My wife and I had Unit 261F (2BRs and 2 Baths). My daughter and her husband had 261P (2 BRs and 2 Baths). ... "F" meaning full kitchen ... "P" = partial ... Both units were very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Although we did not use most of the amenities ... they are extensive (water park, two golf courses, crafts, etc etc etc) We did most of our golfing at nearby golf courses which we also enjoy ... Packsaddle and Fisher Mountain. Nearby restaurants compliment those at Massanutten ... we particularly enjoyed Romano's Italian Bistro for dinner, and The Thunderbird Cafe for breakfast. Hanks was also good for ribs, etc.

What a wonderful condo. We was lucky and our building was right beside the pool. Our 7 and 9 loved that! The condo we had was on the first floor out of three but they have elevators. It is really roomy. We had partial kitchen which was great. They have 4 gas grills at each building with picnic tables which was great. The condo was clean and stocked perfect in the kitchen. The jacuzzi tub was an added bonus. There are two full bathrooms and two bedrooms. Also a deck and fireplace. We will return here again but hopefully longer. There is so much to do.

This was a great vacation. We bought the activities passes, and saved a lot of money, plus it helped us plan out our week, which was filled with things to do. The area is absolutely beautiful, everything is spaced out, so plan on driving to everything. The 2 bedroom suite was clean, and very very spacious. L'Italia has great Italian cuisine, make sure you attend the Monday night and Tuesday night s shows (Magic & Balloons). The Murder Mystery dinner was great. There are a ton of art and crafts classes (great for the wife and kids). This is a four season resort, so we plan on returning again soon. Horseback riding and zip-lines were a lot of fun. If you've been to the Great Wolfe Lodge, you may want to skip the water park here. It was something we could've passed on. It small, crowded, and they move very very slowly. All in all, it was a great vacation.

“Great family vacation”

Massanutten Resort is a mountainside retreat! My husband, 2 young children (ages 4 and 2), and I spent a week there in December 2013. The condo at Woodstone was just perfect for our stay, even the partialkitchen was ok because it had a full size refrigerator, an electric skillet, two hot plates and pans to cook in. We ate out only three times- once upon arrival and once at the pizzeria on campus, and at the snack shack at the waterpark.
The waterpark was fun, it held my sons attention all day, however, it would not be a good "all day" park for 10 yr old and up....tthey would be bored. However, this is the first waterpark I have been to that has especially designed tubes for young kids forthe lazy river...they cant fall through!
My 4 yr old enjoyed tubing a couple of times, we also went ice skating at the rink.
The playground was a good way to burn off energy too.
Even with no snowfall and 50 degree weather, the ski slopes had snow on them.
Would be fun to return in a couple of years so that my 2 year old could do some of the activities too!
