My friend and I were doing a walking holiday and stayed 2 nights here. We were were welcomed by a lovely pot of tea and a warm welcome. The breakfast was fantastic and the rooms very comfortable and Christine was an extremely good host. Perfect!

This most charming, 500-year-old farmhouse with white-washed outer walls and bright flowers is near the south end of Derwentwater Lake, and came with comfy and charming, but musty sitting room, where we enjoyed tea and sweet bread on arrival; slanted floors; out-of-square rooms; and steep stairs. Our second-floor, double room was small but had a nice, flower-filled window. The twin room and other double were more spacious; ask for one of those. Hostess Christine was helpful and friendly. Husband Steven is an active farmer on this National Trust-owned farm. Breakfast was served in a pretty room. Parking is available. Bus stop out front. Try the Riverside Pub for meals and be sure to walk through nearby Rosthwaite.

Another wonderful stay at Seatoller farm beautiful location delicious breakfast friendly welcome from Christine Stephen and Daniel. Even a free taxi ride for two tired walkers ! Thanks Dan.
We've stayed in the cottage and the farmhouse B and B. Both are fantastic. Setting superb amongst the Borrowdale fells at head of the valley. You can park the car then walk in each direction - sometimes up! Regular buses down valley or over Honister pass to Buttermere mean you can park and leave the car. Delicious meal each night at The Langstrath a mile ish away
No phone signal or wi fi. Means you escape ! Phone box nearby or wi fi in pubs / cafés
I'll be back next summer I hope and really recommend this place
Christine is lovely

Highly recommended. This is a working farm in a lovely setting. Christine was very helpful, suggesting a lovely fell walk right out of the farm with no need to use the car. She gave us the bus timetable to allow us to take a bus back right to the door. She put on early breakfast on our last morning so we could get away to an appointment in Yorkshire. Bedroom was small but there is an ample common sitting room downstairs and a good en suite bathroom. Excellent breakfasts.

We stayed here on our second night - beautiful location. We were very nicely welcomed and given tea and fruit cake in the comfortable lounge. Our room was spacious and well organised with lots of storage.
We ate in Rosthwaite - a short walk from the b&b.
Breakfast was very good - Christine was kind enough to make it earlier for us as we had a long day ahead. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for one night and was the perfect place to be to go to the slate mine which is 5 minutes up the road. Christine was a great host and stayed up for us arriving late (10.30pm) and made us feel very welcome.

The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and was really nice. Although our stay was short Seatoller farm is definitely somewhere I would go back to.

Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean. Comfy sitting room with log burner and large telly, well equipped kitchen (a large sharp knife is the only thing I felt it was missing, but I'm picky about chopping knives), comfy bedrooms and a lovely powerful hot shower (there is a bath too). Very helpful and friendly owners.
