Description: Wild Wolf Brewing Company, established November 11, 2011, is one of just a few mother/son operations in the country. Danny, a classically trained Brewmaster by the Siebel Institute in Chicago, and his mom, a business savvy entrepreneur, have turned a family passion for craft beer into one of the fastest growing breweries in Virginia. The brewery and restaurant is situated in the heart of the Brew Ridge Trail and features a wide selection of hand-crafted beers as well as the freshest local foods in Central Virginia-all in a century old, revitalized Nelson County school house. The ten acre property features an authentic Biergarten, shaded by a protective canopy of 60-year-old Siberian Elms, including a charming gazebo, large Koi pond, and working water wheel. In addition, an outdoor pavilion has been enclosed to allow for a four season dining experience. The pavilion hosts live music every weekend year round. Inside the restaurant, guests are treated to a rustic dining experience, including wrap-around porches that provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains and property. Toward the back of the old schoolhouse guests enter the new building which houses a lively sports bar as well as our brewing facility.

Stopped in late afternoon for a drink and snack. Server was excellent and helpful. Tried the sampler five of their beers. All were great. Had pretzel snack. It was tasty and served hot. Good starter. Wished we had dinner but Han to meet people from an earlier commitment.
You will enjoy the beer and atmosphere.

I suppose it is fair to say that this place is, well, very good, short of "excellent", which I tend to reserve for exceptional experiences. Yes, that's a bit picky, and if you find yourself in this area WW would be one of two places I'd highly recommend checking out. IMHO, the local brews are excellent... the beer "menu" of beers brewed in house is impressive (try a flight of several if you're game). I don't think I've ever had a "bad" or disappointing meal here, and the ambiance is cozy and friendly -- the adjacent garden, and enclosed porch open spring through fall, add to the experience, which often includes music. Great for couples, small, and medium-sized groups.

Of all the breweries along 151 this is my favorite. Great little bar with an outdoor patio. You can try a flight of their different beers for a reasonable price, or just pick one and enjoy a pint - they're all pretty good. Not overyly commercial, and not too crowded if you get there early.

The 151 Wine Tour has many great places to wine & dine and this is no exception! The food is perfectly prepared, not just fried or microwaved "instant" food. They have an all fresh menu with many delights, from home made soups to their sandwiches. They even smoke their own corned beef for the Rueben, which tastes AMAZING! They make their own chips and have incredible smoked pork nachos too!

Then they have an extensive menu of beer, which is all brewed there.

They also offer a full bar and wines as well. They really should work with the other wineries along Rt 151 to offer wines from those vineyards as well.

The location is beautifully set in the valley and has great views of the mountains around and several HUGE dining rooms and outdoor seating.

The restaurant is in an old school house that they've built into the Brewery. Several small areas to have a nice cozy dinner Good food variety on the menu. The Scotch eggs are certainly worth a try. Good selection of beers that are certainly worth trying. Would definitely go back again.
