Had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Garden & Sea as part of their buy 2, get 1 free promo. Room and house were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good - if they are making their peach mascarpone french toast you are in for a treat. Enjoyed the complimentary afternoon snacks and drinks. Nice locale for trip up and down the Delmarva Peninsula and for Chinconteague Island. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.

In a sentence: if you are traveling to the Eastern Shore - Assateague, Chincoteague, etc - you won't find anything as comfortable, unique, friendly, and spacious as this wonderful B&B. I planned a few-days getaway with my weimaraner, and Garden & Sea looked appealing online (dog-friendly, big yard, etc). It surpassed even what I'd imagined!

Innkeepers Doro and Thomas are exceptionally friendly and helpful (and cook a mean breakfast that will keep your tummy happy past lunch), the property is well-maintained and the five acres of grassy lawn and woodland is handy for strolling or walking your pet. I stayed in the Chablis suite - king bed, sunny deck, screened porch, big whirlpool tub. More like a little apartment than just a room. I slept like a rock - very quiet. There is also a little pool, and books/dvds/magazines/snacks available in one of the houses for all to enjoy.

Getting to Assateague and other points around was easy - this is a good starting point for exploring the area. I also had a Friday dinner at the Inn; like the morning meals, it was tasty and generous portion-wise, well-worth the time and money. The owners set a lovely friendly tone but are in no way intrusive or 'too much' as i've experienced a couple times at other B&Bs. In short, I couldn't recommend this inn more highly; you're in for a treat!

We stayed at Garden & Sea Inn over the Labor Day weekend. The inn itself and the grounds next to it are very charming and extremely clean and well-kept. We took advantage of the outdoor pool area in the late afternoons - early evenings after going to various beaches. The breakfasts were ample and delicious!

The owners - Thomas and Dorothee - were very accommodating to our (and our pet's) needs. Everything we could think of they've thought of before us - from doggie towels by the door to suggestions for good food and pet-friendly beaches! Our dog enjoyed the bag of treats he received from the hosts, and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine.

Overall, we would definitely recommend visiting Garden and Sea Inn - especially if you are traveling with a four-legged friend!

This B&B is a great place to get away from it all. However, if you need to stay "in touch" the rooms feature great internet access and cell phone coverage. This place is really dog friendly. If you're not so much into dogs don't worry the rooms are extremely clean and smell great.

The food was a real surprise. It is excellent. The innkeepers provide a three-course breakfast between 8 and 10, each morning. While dinning make sure to ask the innkeepers lots of questions. They had excellent advise and obviously keep current on the happenings around the area.

Everything about this B&B was great! The food, the hospitality, the quality of the rooms, furnishings and other amenities. Located in a small Virginia town on a multi-acre lot, this place is dog-friendly and a just a really nice, relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Garden and Sea Inn for three nights: the Victorian house is wonderfully restored and immaculately clean. The Innkeepers Thomas and Dorothee are helpful, friendly, hospitable and a delight to talk to. The B&B is close to all the attractions yet tucked away far enough from the all noise. The surrounding garden is well taken care of and a peaceful place to walk.

I highly recommend the Garden and Sea Inn!

This is a charming inn, in a great location. We wanted to visit Assateugue Island every day, which we did. It is only a short drive to get there, and worth being away from the hustle and busyness of the commercial areas on Chincoteague. We thought the location was ideal for the proximity to the seashore, without being right on the island. The innkeepers were extremely helpful, and considerate. The room was beautiful, and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this inn to anyone!!
