We got our of our rafting gear at this place and wandered around the same after that. The place has a unique charm and is surrounded by many ashrams and agents for rafting and promoting various adventure sports. Try a grub at Flavors hotel nearby adjoining the rickshaw stand.

First of all this review is mainly for those who are visiting Ram Jhula via Lansdowne or other way round. If you enjoy driving on your own then you must have a good reliable GPRS system my Map My India VX140 ditched me and it was so awful to drive without it and Map My India services are equally awful. However the owner of Lansdowne Hotel advised my right to take the Ram Jhula route after Lansdowne and it was really very exciting and scenic.
We enjoyed our drive with frequent halts to enjoy the nature and the hill and it took as arround three hours to reach Ramjhula. Lansdowne a two days max stay is ideal if you just want to relax without any commercial interruptions. If you love treking then you can enjoy that too. But do not except any commercial entertainment joints. In that case please do not viisit Lansdowne or you will be highly demoralized and some genuine visitor may loose out due to your stay there as the place has very limited accomodation fecilities.
The drive all through to Ram Jhula was very absorbing but be careful of local Mahindra vehicles as they drive quite rashly on those routes. Focus on your driving and better drive attentively as you may get see some wild animals on the road as we were fortunate to spot two wolves but missed the opportunity to click as we never anticipated and no one told us also. However those chances can appear to anyone if lucky. o be prepared.
Ram Jhula just chill with your feet in the river a natural spa after a drive from Lansdowne. Accommodations are plenty you can pre book through Trip Adviser or other similar services. Ideally you can take one day excursions from Ramjhula or go camping and rafting. River Rafting is very enjoying and guides are all very good and friendly.
Yes if you can not stay without booze and cigarette then better enjoy your own bedroom back at home.

This chain/rope bridge is meant for pedestrians, but two-wheelers use this so much as to make it scary and difficult for pedestrians. When I returned there Ganges is excessive. Ram Jula has Mythical hype--but used like an ordinary transport bridge
