We spent two nights here in February 2013. What can be better than stepping out of your air conditioned room/beach hut straight onto the quiet beach and warm sea?
The rooms were good value for money, compared to other hotels we stayed at on the island, and the included buffet breakfasts were good with some choice.
The resort is in a great location at the quiet end of White Sand Beach, but only a 15 minutes walk along the beach to resturants and bars located on the beach.
The beachside resturant and bar is a great location for watching the sunset if you do not fancy the walk into town.

We really were amazed when we arrived at this resort. The beach is fine, it is beautiful the nature all around and the bungalows are simple but charming.

But this is a place where its best charm is to stay in a beach bungalow, just take the steps from the bungalow directly down on the sand. That was what we loved about it and stayed for 5 nights.

The ocean vary quite much in quality from day to day, not bad , but some days it was extremely clear and beautiful. Tide, rain, wind and waves make a big difference on the quite open to the ocean beach.

One negative thing we noticed is that there is many young boys at the restaurant, what mattered was that they did not understand english very well and made some mistakes too many with the orders. We tried to be clear but still they did not get the orders correct several times.

Otherwise, this place is very charming and idyllic, its hard to think that this place is on the largest beach on Koh Chang.

Room Tip: Beach bungalow

if you love nature, this is the reall place for it.we had an bungalow very close by the sea, small, but O.k.They have a big, good restaurant,to the center you walk on the beach, crossing The rock sand restaurant, about 2 km,we liked this a lot. Then many restaurants on the beach.
The only not good thing was, some days a lot of carbage in the sea. They are cleaning the rooms,if you tell this at the reception,so it is up to you.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. Best is certainly its position, best part of the beach, and yet very quite and relaxed. We stayed in the older bungalows which are reasonably comfortable. They are shaded by trees so dont get too hot, the AC works well, the cleaning is good. Dont expect any luxury though. But who needs it when your front step is 10 metres from a superb beach with luke warm and clear water? Only really bad things were the mattress which was old so you could feel the springs and the pillows which where coated in artificial leather. But I got used to them.
They got some newer Bungalows which are bigger and much nicer, but i dont know how much they cost.
We found the staff friendly and helpful, although it was high season. Also the food in the restaurant was good and not expensive, unlike to what some people are saying.
I would stay there again any time, but would bring my own pillow...

The northest hotel on the Island.
Not very friendly reseption.
All closed at 9 p.m. ((( but for me the evening just begins that time.
Transfer to K.C. Grand about 50 Bat!
Expensive food and drinks.
Boungalo is nice, but nobody cleaned it.
Expensive minibar.
Good and quiet beach close to the main cafes.
I love to eat in Sea Bar (500 m from W.S.resort).
There was a fire show - not so exiting as it could be.
The good point that here is quiet in the night (no music, no noise)

The huts are at end of beach, is quiet at night, as long as you don’t get rowdy people close by. It’s a 20 minute walk to the main part of the beach, but it’s a nice walk, and who’s clockwatching when you’re there. Staff were neither good nor bad, we had no problems so didn’t really put them to the test. The restaurant didn’t really look appealing so we didn’t eat there. The hut was sparse, but it had all we needed, and also had a nice balcony. It was great to watch the sun go down with a cold beer or two.

At $60 a night it felt a bit steep, $40 would be a more realistic price. They were only a quarter full when we visited mid November; I guess if we hadn’t paid in advance we could have got a better deal.

There is a nice rustic café at the end of the beach which is great for breakfast or lunch.

Overall the place feels a bit tired, but we enjoyed it there, just don’t know if I’d go back, unless the rate was better. Probably should get 3½ stars.

Room Tip: Make sure you get one on the beach right at the end.

We stayed here in january this year and had the best time. the staff were friendly the rooms adequate with a/c tv , fridge etc.. we had a beach front bungalow with a veranda and the views were amazing as were the sunsets! falling asleep whilst hearing nothing but the sea lapping was great! it was at a quite end of the beach. we was able to get up in the morning and go for a dip in the warm sea ( just 10 steps away from our veranda), drinks were replenished in our bungalow daily. the restuarent was good too only a few steps away. rock sands restuarant was just a a little walk along the beach for a change where they had a better variety of english food.
the village was a ten minute walk along the beach front too with many market shops and cafes etc... lots of tourist booking points for varies activities on the island.. we went elephant trekking through the jungle and was an amazing experience. we didnt get any beach sellers/beggers.. but there was a massuse just behind the bungalows who was very friendly and knows her stuff. i also had my hair braided whilst here and all 7 thai ladies that did it was lovely and friendly and couldnt do enough for me. we paid 1700 tbh a night and we would pay it again..
all in all we loved our stay at white sands beach resort its where we got engaged and its where we would like to return on our honeymoon in april.

Room Tip: def would advise a beach bungalow!!!
