Spent 11 nights here in Nov had just a basic room 746 just across from the beach side reception. Sign in was fine, room clean comfortable bed hard but slept fine big bathroom etc flat screen TV for them who want to watch it , coffee tea in rooms free water, we got Wi Fi every were on the complex so dont know what a couple of the previous comment were saying about not getting it, must be there units or incompetance. breakfast was fine if you could wade your way through the riot of a certain ethnic holiday makers stacking numerous plates sky high then shoveling into there copious mouths plate after plate it all went down sausage pancakes chilli pork chocolate sauce fruit, toast cereal all mixed up on one plate then the same again in a carry bag for mid day . great pools . Nice place to stop but over priced by a third. White sands beach has changed in the last ten years but is still a great place for a relaxing holiday 8-10 days is enough then move on. Excellent food on the street and restaurants Try the BBQ chicken and fish place just below the aleina grand hotel .

We booked a Superior Bungalow, upon arrival & check In we were taken to our room (beach side) when they opened the door the smell from the room was horrid, and looked like it, so they offered another, same again then another same again, We ended up paying for upgrade on the Hillside and the difference in rooms was incredible, clean no smell and ground floor overlooking pool.
I had noted previous reviews about the Beachside bungalows being old,and old they are.
Our 6 nights at Kacha Resort ended up being great, good position, great choices at breakfast and staff pleasant & helpful.Position on the beachfront is good even at high tide you can still walk the beach pull up at any restaurant & sit in the chairs.White Sand Beach is great and the area is full of everything you need.

Room Tip: Ask to see room first, then decide. Hill side pool view rooms best choice

Good experince, very nice and green territory, Swimming pool going to the ocean (visually for sure). Not very good beach because of some stones (could easily see during low-tides). Anyway one of the best hotels at Klong Prao beach line. Really recommend to relax. Recommend nearest Banpu resort for dinner, very tasty!!!

We had a great stay here. Booked for 4 nights but extended our stay for another 3 nights.

Great value for the money. Stayed in hillside deluxe building. Rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly and the facilities are all good. Two swimming pools are well kept and clean. Would definitely come back here and recommend it to people staying in koh chang!

The breakfast was OK, but a bit boring after staying there for a week. Also, don't go to breakfast after 9.30 a.m, because the food wasn't replaced if it was empty. The beds where to hard for me though.

Room Tip: Hillside deluxe building. The rooms on the other side of the road looked less clean.

We made a family trip to Koh Chang for two of nights in October, We decided on this hotel due to the location. I got the rooms from booking.com I booked two rooms on the Hillside Deluxe Building the. Check-in was a nightmare because I booked two rooms they charged my credit card two times and they required two passports even though all charges would be on the one credit card. Whilst check-in there was a South African women complaining about insects in her room, but she had check-in to the Beach side buildings. Once checked-in to the Hillside Deluxe Building it is quite nice & new reinvented, Rooms are a nice size and the pool is excellent. Beds in the room are a little hard but still got a sleep, The food from the restaurant on the beach side is very good prices are competitive but the breakfast is average and is worth looking elsewhere if you are paying for it yourself and not free with the room. Overall we had enjoyable stay and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Breakfast is average and is worth looking elsewhere if you are paying for it yourself and not free w...

This hotel splits into 2, beach side and directly across the road, whilst both parts have a reception and beautiful pool area the road side part of the hotel appears to be newly refurbished, the reception is a really comfortable air coned area with free wi fi and plenty of sofas and chairs. The pool are at this side is really lovely not too busy and plenty of sun beds, we spent most of our days at the other pool, the standards are the same, both have swim up pool bar and towels are provided, however the sea view makes all the difference as you are practically on the beach.
The hotel rooms are just a little more than basic and the beds I have to say are quite hard but very spacious. We actually stayed at the part of the hotel on the roads side and it appears that all rooms overlook the pool area, lovely view day and night. We stayed in Koh Chang for 4 days as part of our Thailand holiday, a nice resort with plenty of little shops, bars and restaurants, it's a quite place with not much open after 11, certainly closed after midnight, great for us with children. Visiting the waterfalls and elephant farms are a great adventure. Also this hotel is probably no more than 10 mins from the ferry port. I would recommend this resort and hotel.

Room Tip: The only thing I would say is we found the beds quite hard.

Ok, figured out that the average Asian attitude is perfectly matching the average Napolitan attitude (I, the reviewer, was born and grew up in Naples in Italy): they always figure out the way to drain money to tourists, they don't stop their cars and m'bikes at pedestrian lines, etc..Despite some average to good features, the Kacha wins an 'awful' review for some "peculiarities". Arrived on the 12th August, reservation made in FEBRUARY, asked to pay in advance.. Mumbling, payed, brought to the room: a hillside groundfloor room with balcony at 1.5 metres from HIGH VOLTAGE CABLES (in thai they are not in the ground, clueless) and 10 metres from a local setup of hovels, a 'bidonville'... Not feeling safe at all and to avoid manic depression, jumped to the hall to asked for room upgrade, at least sea view..i was going to stay for 8 nights and I was asked 400 bath per night for the upgrade..they showed me the room and at comeback, they surprisingly asked 600 bath per night for the upgrade!! A 50% increase in a few minutes time is really crazy and out of any commercial behaviour whatsoever!!at my questioning on the reasons of such increase, the answer was "cause you benefited of a too low rate at booking time"..this left me speechless..ok not big money for a "farang" but really unacceptable..but, ok vacation, relax, I paid such absurde upgrade rate to this third world jerk receptionist and went back to my new room..apart from the view, which was nice indeed, the moving turned more similar to a downgrade: older furniture and hot water malfunctioning in the shower. And here comes the TOP: on the third day hot water did not work at all..had cold shower..then in the night my girlfriend felt really bad that she needed a hospital and guess what the damn Kacha did? They charged us 200 bath to bring us to the private clinic with their minivan, which was at the incredible distance of 1km (0.7 miles)!!!!! This is what I call SPECULATING ON CUSTOMERS DISEASES!!ok again no big money but cmon, one kilometer!!this is a real shame..what to add? Laundry was rated 80 bath per kg, exactly the double of outside shops and they didn't even let me borrow a knife from the restaurant to let me cut some fruits I bought outside!!these "people" really thought I would have stolen their damn knife? Fortunately in the world we are not like the Kacha personnel..then, little English from the staff, but this is the average on ko chang, staff detached, unpleasant and actually sometimes LAUGHING at my requests..I find it really unacceptable..the only one nice was the room service lady, really kind and nice throughout our stay..it's a pity cause the hotel has some good points: the pool is nice (but the beach loungers were old and slightly damaged. And cats and dogs from the beach used to lay around, some of them crytically ill), the neighbourhood is filled with some of the better restaurants (though too much noise around till late)...on top of it the unpleasing staff and the money steals really made me upset, I do not advise this place and really don't know how it standa among "advised" resorts of booking.com. Last but not least, the check out moring, the reception made me their hostage, cause they would not have left me until someone would have checked in which conditions we left the room...clueless and very unpleasant again..stay away from this place..
