Reviewed 4 January 2013 via mobile

Shared bathroom private doubles need a lick of paint to cheer them up a bit. Maybe a picture on the wall.

Service at front desk is good and they speak English.

Pool is tiny, but ok to jump in and it's deep and states the depth on the side.

Breakfast is overpriced and there are cheap options elsewhere.

A good hostel conveniently located in town. Was really nice to have the small pool to cool off. Staff were friendly enough but felt like this place was pretty commercial and did not have a personal feel, but that is just me. Was still a good place and would probably go back if ever in Granada again.

We loved this place so much we actually came back. At $20 for a private room, free coffee and breakfast pastries, this place is awesome. It is actually quite large with many different housing options from dorms to private rooms with A/C. There is also a sweet pool and lookout above the hostal with great Mombacho views. Lots of little niches to hang out so it never feels crowded. Community kitchen as well for cooking.

Once again my stay was great. The room was clean. Staff were helpful. I really enjoyed this stay. First time I brought my daughter with me she love it too. I would say this place is great. It's right in the center of the city close to everything. I would recommend this place. Thank to the staff for my great stay

Granada is a chaotic place, with high levels of in your face poverty and isn't a great place to be out and about alone after dark.

oasis is the complete opposite- calm, with lots of space to chill. it feels million miles away from the mayhem outside.

there are lots of chairs, hammocks, a small clean pool, pcs to use for free and wifi, 2 tvs with lots of dvds. you can also buy water beer etc in the hostel and order in pizza if you don't want to venture out after dark alone. the kitchen is ok- could be better but useable, and theres a terrace upstairs with a sink and washing lines.

dorms have big lockers you can fit your whole backpack in easily

Granada is a great place to visit. i stayed for 10days, but i was greatful to be able to escape to the hostel at the end of the day.

it isn't a party hostel, after 11 is quite time and lights in common areas are turned off. the street is noisey from early in the mornin so if that's a problem ask to stay in a dorm away from the street

I stayed two nights at Oasis and was very impressed with both the quality of the room and the layout of the common areas. There are about 10 desktops for easy internet access and free usage of Skype headphones. The coffee was tasty, the pool was clean, and the activities available at the front desk were a breeze to sign up for.

I appreciated the free phone call (be sure to make it before 10pm) and the relaxed atmosphere. The location is great and the staff was friendly. Highly recommended!

I stayed here on my way to san juan del sur. the city did not have a ton to offer other than a few things. (I wouldn't stay longer than a day or two) - but the hostel was a diamond in the rough. From the outside it looked a bit run down and in a fairly sketchy neighborhood, but once you got through the front door it was a whole new story. A bunch of hammocks and lounge chairs to hang out, as well as a row of free computers to check your email. Also had wifi. Then the best part. An amazing pool Perfect to relax by and meet new people, truly amazing!
