If there is one city you must see in Nicaragua - it's Granada and if there is one place you simply cannot miss - it's Hotel con Corazon.

As others have mentioned before, it has it all - superb location, wonderful staff, tasty breakfast, cool bar, cozy rooms, homely atmosphere, swimming pool, hammocks, salsa lessons.... and the list goes on...

Special thanks to Maritza, as she always greeted me with a smile and was extremely helpful in answering all my questions.

I definitely hope to come back one day!

Hotel Con Corazón has it all.. Great location, comfortable rooms, superb common areas with free wifi, delicious breakfast included in the price and, what's most important, an amazing staff. They even have a tiny swimming-pool which is very helpful after walking about the warm streets of Granada.

Maritza, one of the girls who works at the front desk, was attentive at all times and made our stay really special.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our tour of Nicaragua. My only minot gripe was the lack of wifi in the actual rooms. Small point, and I was able to get reception everywhere else, but in the age now of iPads and portable devices, it would be great guests could access the Net in their rooms.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Granada...beautiful little hotel. Great pool, amazing mojitos made from scratch, clean rooms and awesome staff make this place THE spot to stay in Granada. *Take some tours with Frank. He is the best and made our stay one we'll never forget!

..and I'm not usually easily satisfied with hotels as I travel around Central America. I loved the beautiful design of the public courtyards and swimming pool; the simple, contemporary but comfortable feel of the rooms; the generous breakfast; the free salsa lesson in the bar one night and, most of all, the delightful staff. With all the hotel profits being invested in the education of local children, as such a simple but effective idea, it means that everyone wins: happy guests, happy staff, happy owners and happy school children.

My one minor (hopefully constructive) criticism was that the hotel wifi network was a bit flaky and did not extend to most of the hotel rooms, where some people (like me) prefer to use their laptops and smartphones in private for skype calls etc. An additional wifi network for the back part of the hotel would fix this instantly.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to stay and I would recommend anyone visiting Granada who likes contemporary, well designed and well run hotels to stay there.
